"Sounds like a plan to me." Kay shrugs, "If Mendigo doesn't want to go, or if it doesn't work, I'll try. If casting fly on Mendigo doesn't work, then you can cast invisibility on me and i will try to make it across..."
Kay is getting fed up with this and has put safety on the back burner...
"I have returned!" Alexander appears in the room, doing his best to take in his surroundings. "Did I hear someone say fly? I might be able to be of service if you wish to save your spells."

“That’s a good thought, but I don’t mind. I’m not very useful if I save my spells, after all…. So, do I cast fly on Mendigo?” After some thought, he adds, “If I don’t cast it on Alexander, he can activate his angel mode and go save whoever does go, if that becomes necessary.”

"This is true," Alexander nods. "We don't know what is over there, or if flying will keep us out of harm's reach."
George casts fly on Mendigo. “You won’t need to flap for this to work…. You’ll probably need a source of light, too…” George casts light on whatever weapon Mendigo’s holding, the light from his own his own staff dimming and ending as he does so.

I’m sorry, I just realized I was thinking of level 7 Harmony from a different campaign. I do have one casting of darkness, but no greater invisibility. 😕

“Sure I’ll make sure it’s safe…” his dove will fly down the corridor.
Your dove flies down the corridor, and you feel the telepathic link that you share seem to flicker and fade as it does so, again as if something were disrupting the magic in this place. The dove successfully reaches the end, and tells you (although it takes a few repeats due to the static-like interruptions in your link) that there is a door at the far end of the corridor.

Mendigo, you feel suddenly a lot lighter as the spell takes effect, and your weapon glows with a light that flickers almost like fire.
Kay sits down on the floor cross-legged, rests her chin in her palm, and stares down the hallway.
You stare into the darkness, and the darkness stares back. It's wondering why you are staring at it. It chances a wave, but you don't respond - you just keep staring. After a short while, the Darkness feels uncomfortable at turns around. Its back is still prickling from your stare, but at least it can't see you now.
Kay, who had not been aware of the darkness’s discomfort, turns her gaze to Angelino.
“So, what can your bird see? Can it tell if there are more than just the six tiles we can make out?”
“Hmm, somethings mucking up the connection I have with it… and don’t just call it ‘my bird’ it’s Antonia. Anyway, there’s definitely more tiles… and a door. We have a door. Now what? I’m fresh out of clever ideas.”
Ooh, yes! That sounds good! I have greater invisibility if it can detect us by sight, at all, but fly sounds better.
Only spilt the party if you see something shiny.

“Ooh! Lord Angelino, send your familiar to fly down the passage first to see if flight is safe!”

“Sure I’ll go.” Says Mendigo, seemingly flapping his arms like wings as some sort of practice for flying.

"This is a good idea," Alexander glances at Angelino. "Would you mind my Lord?"
"Harmony could cast invisibility on it first. Just in case."
"It might not be a bad idea if Mendigo and Alexander go together. Just in case there is something down there."
