Zuli relays to everyone what the writing on the wall said before whispering, "So don't look it in the eyes! Also no one answered my question about the mirror! I would love to send this dust eater to the place it sent us."
She rushes towards it in a swift motion, drawing her twin sabers in the blink of an eye. Eyes alight, she slashes the basilisk's neck, her strikes a flurry of motion:
“Are you sure that doesn’t mean do look it in the eyes? It said ‘won’t kill’ and ‘creates more rooms’. Doesn’t more mean a different one? It would be nice to move on.”
Zuli pauses in her slashing just long enough to give Agnomally a stare that says, 'seriously?' Before actually saying, "Yes, I am pretty sure we don't want to look it in the eyes. We want to go through this door that it is guarding. Do you really want to get stuck in another dream where you constantly feel like you got socked in the jaw by a Goliath?" She shakes her head, laughing menacingly, "Oh...no... I'm not going back there. But If we have a mirror, we could send this blasted thing in there...give it a taste of its own poison... thats how the saying goes right?"

Clementine stows their weapons thoroughly expecting to have nuked the basilisk, she examines what Evers left of it as well as the gore on her serrated knives.
”Basically the same thing… just different dosage…” They have the familiar distant look in their eyes that comes up whenever anyones dealing with corpses.
Just so y'all know.. this encounter is me forcing myself to run my first actual combat encounter (not like the bandits from earlier...) so bear with me lol
Clementine, you successfully sneak up to the beast and your first attack hits right along its side, producing a deep gash! Black ooze bubbles at the surface of the wound, trickling down its torso.
Waking up with a low, guttural groan, the basilisk gets up and rears its ugly head...s? Though from where you were standing it looked like a normal basilisk, two more heads appear from behind the first. It's clearly grumpy, having been rudely forced awake. Your second attack hits right as it stretches its body, bouncing off the tough skin on one of its legs. (Didn't hit.)
Darklis, you send forth your echo and it's able to score the beast, slashing through its leg. Following up with your breath weapon seems to put quite a dent in it!
Verdell, you aim your guiding bolt right at its head, but it bounces off its armor and fizzles away. (Didn't hit.)
Zuli, your first two attacks seem effortless and practiced. You slash the beast twice on the neck easily, sending more goo flying through the air! But in response it shakes its head, and your last two strikes hit it on its spiny shoulders instead. (Didn't hit.)
The basilisk is currently Incapacitated, and is still waking up. Not dead yet. You all get one more turn before it begins attacking!
The sphere springs to life on top of the monster, covering it almost entirely in the magical whirlwind. It roars, producing a raspy, ear-splitting sound.

You both hit it again, and the basilisk staggers and sways, trying to figure out what is going on in the midst of it's sleepiness. It roars again as Agnomally shocks it with the [Tooltip Not Found], and as Darklis' echo strikes it again along its side with her Flamburge.
(ooc: Plopped, I have a question about the next room but I don't want to ask it publicly. Could I PM you the question, or something?)

(Yeah sure!)
Clementine seeing the basilisk still sleepy sweeps forward with too more jabs
Attack: 19 Damage: 11
Attack: 10 Damage: 11 plus 1
And regardless of any hits and additional 9 psychic damage, and if at least one hit an additional 13 sneak attack damage.
Edit: oof, critical fail… and then consecutive 11s for damage?
Edit 2: if it still has that condition that gives it auto-crits? If so that second hit is going to have serious damage with that sneak attack.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Verdell is going to use Embodiment of the Law to cast bless as a bonus action on Clementine, Zuli, and Darklis. As he casts it, he shouts for Clementine to attack the basilisk again via Voice of Authority (Sneak Attack applies to that attack since it’s on a separate turn, too).
Then, as his action, Verdell casts sacred flame on the basilisk: DC 15 DEX save or take 4 radiant damage. (Also, is the basilisk just incapacitated, or does it auto-fail DEX saves from being unconscious?)

"Happy too!"
Attack: 23 Damage: 11 plus 4
and if it hits 8 sneak attack damage.
(ooc: That is a great ability)
(I love it. I really need to play an order cleric for an actual campaign.)

(If a creature is incapacitated that means that they also auto-fail DEX saves. So, yes. And that's an awesome ability.)
The basilisk finally seems to be coming to, and it is mad. It screeches and reels with every extra hit, stomping the ground as it tries to get its bearings. It rears its heads, producing a loud roar.
It whips one of its heads around to face Celementine, and it stares deep into your eyes. Make a CON saving throw!
With another head, it'll snap at Zuli, eyes narrowed. To Hit: 14 Damage: 11 Piercing damage + 11 Poison damage
Finally, it moves its whole body to one side, whipping its tail at Darklis. To Hit: 14 Damage: 17 Bludgeoning damage

Zuli dodges the attack, turning to let the head move past her shoulder before bringing a saber down on it's head. Striking quickly after the first hit, she twists, bringing one saber up under it's jaw where the skin is softer, and pushes upwards to force the creatures head up with the sharp blade--hopefully cutting it as well. Then with her third hit she delivers another slash to the now (hopefully) exposed throat.

Darklis is able to leap over the tail taking no damage. (Didn't hit) As it's tail swings by, she tries to hit it twice as she lands.
To hit: 24
Damage: 11

Damage: 13
(Man I'm really starting to hate this dice roller. I didn't even edit it this time! Those are the original rolls though, so at least it didn't change them this time.)
