A self-aware lich that realises that it is a game, they eventually help the PC's escape the game. The DM then takes the character sheets, and the PC's have to fight as themselves against the characters they created and played as for so long. If that makes sense.
An undead priest that the party have been called upon to defeat after they were identified as the source of several disappearances in the kingdom. When the party finally find the priest however, they learn that when the priest first died, their god greeted them in paradise, and gave them the choice to stay in the afterlife, or return to the Material Plane to spread the word of what lies beyond and bring those close to death towards everlasting bliss. The priest chose to sacrifice their own eternal pleasure for the service of their god, and all of the disappearances were of terminally ill citizens in chronic pain with incurable afflictions seeking peace. The party then has to choose; do they follow the order of their quest and slay this priest, or turn a blind eye and allow him to guide his 'victims' to infinite happiness?
