"Nice to meet you bls!" Akio walks up to bls questioning his actions just now and slaps him harder on the back as an annoyed jester "don't ever slap me on my back" Akio says annoyed
He laughs with a booming roar. “I like your spunk, kid! Maybe you aren’t all heretics and traitors after all!” He smiles joyfully. “Would you like to hear about our lord and savior, the God-Emperor?” He laughs. “I jest. But seriously, consider it.” He gently pats you on the head, unsure of how to deal with normal, not 8 foot tall non super humans.

I'm trying to put together a more unique zombie apocalypse scenario, one not really widely used, focusing on SCP-008 as the origins, in an XK-Class Scenario (end of the world scenario) Perhaps having a few notable factions from the canon. I have most the SCP side down but need help putting together the story itself

Synth is actually helping me in a PM right now (I didn't forget about you, they were the one who initiated it), and we discussed a few concepts:
Megacorporations primarily sell food and patented bio-augments (corps have widely varying abilities with a single unifying theme, and players can make their own corps), and do so in service of their eldritch gods. Each cosmic abomination is the mascot for the company (in some form, so imagine McDonalds is actually run by a cult to Ronald McDonald and the gang) and is the source of both the food and biomods made by their pet corporation.
That's just the basics. There would still be the basic classes, but they would have slightly different flavor (Paladin oaths are written in employee manuals and clerics can use their gods' merch as holy symbols, for some examples), and we still need lore for why the world is this way, even if the players don't exactly know it right off the bat.

Sounds neat! I doubt this is really what you're going for, but it reminds me of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, a fantastic indie comic. I honestly don't think you need to have in depth lore for why merch is magic and all that, it's just how the world works. (Of course if you have a hankering for a lore dump there ain't nothing wrong with that.) I could see a Killjoys style world with punk war bands fighting against the mega corporations, holding onto the scraps of memories and real life that matter to them and that are being swallowed up the major companies.
I don't know if this will make sense if you haven't read the Killjoys.
