Nice, that’s pretty cool. We have two male rabbits in an elevated cage. I’m pretty sure males are a little more aggressive and we have been bitten and scratched by them so it might be better to get females. You don’t always have a choice though because it can cost more to have their sex determined. Be very careful getting a guy and a gal though.
We take out a lot of our vegetable debris for them to eat and they seem to like that.
If you’re doing free roaming cageless rabbits I’d be concerned about hawks and other birds of prey and depending on where you live, foxes and coyotes can be a threat too. You might want to have some sort of wire mesh roof to protect them from aerial threats. I’ve heard a lot of stories of free roaming rabbits being dispatched by birds of prey.
They poop a lot too so if you are holding them inside it might be good to have a towel on your lap.
Rabbits are real fun and they have some of the softest fur you’ll ever feel.
Around where we live we know a lot of people that keep rabbits but most of them do it for their meat. It’s great to see someone else choosing to keep them as pets!
