Peeta’s family never approved of his musical talent, so he put his name in the pool in secret. Katniss never really considered music, she was too busy keeping her famil-y afloat, but she put her name in a few times in exchange for food. The reaping in this world is actually desirable, after all, what kid doesn’t want to be a star? This story would be a lighter commentary on the music industry, and have more of a lighthearted feel. Nobody dies, they just get sent home.
