I just left my first PBP game after sacrificing myself to avoid a TPK, and then the party getting enslaved immediately afterward.
So the first part was from a LEVEL 7 FIGHTER DRACONIAN WITH A 14 AS THEIR LOWEST SCORE attacking the party. I convinced him that I was the leader and that we should duel (I did this as a distraction so the others could escape) and inevitably died because I couldn't escape. Second day of the PBP.
Second part was a bunch of lizardfolk approached us while we were sleeping, and evidently, if you roll lower than a 10 on a perception roll you can't hear the cleric screaming for help or feel yourself being chained up and thrown into a cart on a bumpy road. We were all still wounded from the first fight.
I didn't have a lot of fun.

That sounds awful! Really sorry that happened!
You guys are awesome and mean so much to me. And mean so much to each other.
The worst part wasn't the actual events, it was the fact that the DM used her dice rolls to excuse all of it. "Well, that was unfortunate." Congrats, you just repeatedly screwed over the party because you called for dice rolls for things that should've been free.
I left after a green dragon flew overhead and got a 23 on perception. "Haha, how unfortunate!" We were level 4. We just leveled up after fighting (and barely winning against) the lizardfolk slavers.
