My parents were the type to just let me do crap, just to watch me suffer later. for example:
"Normal" Parents: don't lie, steal, or do drugs.

...Damn. That must have been hard... I had an abusive parent, but nothing like that. And she's out of my life, for good, which is great considering the age I'm at.
