Problem is, you can't put the genie back in the bottle. People are gonna get them no matter what you do, and if you ban them they're just gonna be held by people who don't exactly care about the law in the first place.

Yeah… but banning guns would probably decrease the amount of people with guns. It’s still a good idea to ban guns, it obviously wouldn’t get rid of them, but it would be better to ban guns then not.
