Doing better today. Had an unhappy discussion with my dad yesterday, but Markell, Yondor, and Drummer all helped me calm down.
Also thinking of making a fursona inspired by Frankenstein and his monster at the same time. I made a couple of characters like that before, but most of them were throwaways.

I love it too! I used to be obsessed with it. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and corpse-stitched monsters. At first it seems normal, if aesthetically archaic, but then you throw in the theme of "you will always be your own downfall..." Spook Ensues.

It's the philosophical nature of the genre that's the best part. And the cool details, I like the detail given to the most mundane things. I haven't read a ton of gothic stuff, and I have yet to get to the big titles but I'm really enjoying some of the more contemporary gothic novels I've come across!
