I personally think the whole concept of the houses is kinda dumb, unless your goal is to create perfect little echo chambers for children so that they never have to deal with the idea that they are in the wrong because everyone else in the room agrees with them.
Makes sense. Me though, I like chaos.
I like chaos too (I’m neutral good with chaotic tendencies), but it is nice sometimes to feel the sense of belonging to a Hogwarts House (mine is Ravenclaw).

Location: Under your floorboards. Your description (bears) reminded me of a campaign i play in (though only once or twice every year so not a lot)
Basically it was a magic school, we were all students sent their. We went to classes and field trips (like i said, once or twice a year. I think were only on session three) one of the first things i did was go to a magic shop (we were on a field trip to a small town) i asked the DM: "what magic items are they selling?" They said: "Why dont you tell me?" It was a cool idea. But a mistake as i quickly opted for a flame tongue, then the DM mentioned since it was a peaceful town they wouldnt sell magic weapons. So i decided i wanted a tiny little flying robot that would repeat a word/sentence if i told it to. I got it. Then i traveled to a tavern and asked it to repeat one sentence: BRAWL. It did this, but the tavern owner reached up, snatched the robot and smashed it in his hands, then he threw it at me, it hit right next to me. (i dont remember what he said because it was a while ago, but most likely it was something like this: And stay out you pesky little rascal!
but the part that your location reminded me of was this: my sister (as her character) spent an hour trying to pull up floorboards. With luck she eventually found a loose floorboard, in her dorm! She stuffed her smuggled weapons in it and put the board back.
There was another time there was some bullies at the school, they came up to our party with that wanna fight? Kinda vibe. They started bullying us, like most bullies do. Then we kinda forgot we were students and that this wasnt physical combat and went to hell at them: The druid (my sister) turned into a wolf, summoned 2 other wolves and attacked one of the 4 bullies. Then the other members of the party started shooting flames, ice and anything else our spells could do. Its a miracle none of them died. They scurried away quickly once 2 of them were unconscius.
I realize now: What if the reason we haven't gotten a antagonist yet is because: Maybe were the antagonists? I mean if you think about all those things meant in good fun, theyre all pretty bad.
1 trying to start fights in a peaceful town
2 sneaking in deadly weapons onto campus
3 knocking other students unconscious
