*gonna rant a lil* So, the idea is there were some rescue divers in an underwater cave, and the deeper they went, they started to notice organic, flesh like, growths on the cave walls, tendrils, and little bulbs of light, obviously curious, one swam closer, and the things GRABBED THEM. so, like a parasite, the growths dig into their skin and detach from the cave wall. The person starts to go crazy, mutating as the thing inside them grows. The other divers try to get away but the tendrils growing on the walls get them TOO! So, when the team on the surface stops hearing from them they retract the cable that's attached to the divers, and pull up the three people turned human-eating monsters! The parasite-infected people attack the others, infecting them too, and slowly, it spreads and spreads until it reaches civilization. Then it spreads like an explosion, taking over entire cities in mere hours, soon the whole country has fallen, and the parasites begin to reach other countries too, and eventually, humanity meets its doom.
OK, I had an idea of it starting from a mutation from a nuclear bomb, so like a zombie apocalypse started from a nuclear apocalypse, maybe all that stuff with the tendrils could have happened in the already messed up post nuclear apocalypse earth?
