So, I started re-reading the Toriko books I own, and remembered an important detail: Gourmet Hunters use intimidation prominently! Basically, a Gourmet Hunter is a walking scientific event waiting to happen, given their occupation. However, if they just killed everything they came across, they wouldn't be able to have the same meal next week. Also, they would attract the Gourmet Police, which is bad news...
Anyway, they only kill what they intend to eat or sell. But there are tons of powerful, horrifically dangerous, and hostile monsters out there (Capture Rating 1 can only be brought down by the equivalent of 10 highly-trained men with shotguns, CR 6 can bring down specialized hunting tanks, and at the point I'm at, CR 30 is around what the Gourmet Hunters are facing in book 9), and the hunters don't want to have to kill every single one. The solution? Scare em' off!
I'm gonna try and incorporate something like this in my RPG. How I'm gonna do that I'm not sure.
