I'm kinda surprised you didn't notice! And thanks!
Nah, I loved Plague Eater. Yeah, Cato hated him, but Cato sort of had to hate him because Cato hates two things- 'That which is unclean' and 'That which is not 100% unapologetically evil'. He got on a lot better with Flint I seem to remember, and that was a lot closer to how I felt personally towards him.

You guys are awesome and mean so much to me. And mean so much to each other.
Hey, just wondering, and this is a kind of weird question, how would you define my "style?" Like, if I were some great author and you made an essay on me, what would you define as what makes me special? It can be anything you find notable, anything at all.
I'm trying to refine my style a bit more, and I was hoping I could get some feedback on what I write like already.
Cooking and horror, but with a moral compass. A monster with a heart of gold.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

That sounds so cute actually.
What do you mean by "moral compass," though? I admit most of my characters aren't outright evil, but most of them are at least morally ambiguous.

Thanks! I mean at base bottom you and your characters are good people. They do the right thing even if they end up doing it in a grotesque way. They’re kind of like Dexter, the serial killer who satisfies his grotesque impulses by killing truly horrible people, sometimes in very inventive and bloody ways.

The fact that none of your characters have tried to hurt Flint says something. And one of them even went against Cato. And Flint and Cato are basically moral barometers to some extent- do you see the surface appearance or the person beneath? If they were a test, your characters passed

You guys are awesome and mean so much to me. And mean so much to each other.
I think Dutch has managed to explain your style pretty well, Baalz. Themes of decadence, gluttony, and mistaken appearances are common. Your stuff probably falls into gothic/cosmic/grim/body horror most of the time. You also have that unique culinary flair that is super interesting. Morality is often challenged and many of your characters have questionable ethics and beliefs. Your work is incredibly unique. I don't often come across stuff like it.
I'm kinda surprised you didn't notice! And thanks!

And it's always big eldritch-type horror, never a slasher-type human horror
