True, you could play them as more animalistic and their goal is just to spread, but it is hard to play a nice guy character whose existence depends on human destruction. I do believe disease is a human caused problem that came from the fall, but we don't have to go into that.
Cancer could appear as some sort of crab that is always growing.
Maybe they’re like Liches where their survival directly depends on how many people are infected? Like if the virus dies then the virus’ equivalent character would die too? And the less there are, the more unhealthy it is.
like the gods in the percy jackson book and how the more people that believe in them, the stronger they are. instead being that the more are infected, the stronger they are
