So, the types of magic in Gastronomia so far:

Pyromancy: It's pretty much sorcery, but it runs off calories. You will never see a chubby pyromancer... for long, that is.

Necromancy: Symbiosis with sentient fungi (aka undead). Necromancers can make entire buildings and armies out of rotting material and specialized fungi, but they need a symbiote in order to actually use this power. Notably, different symbiotes have different strengths and are often passed down through generations, so getting a stronger one will be difficult.

Gastronomy: Whip up delicious meals out of magical ingredients. This functions kinda like wizardry, where it's all in the training as opposed to any natural magic flowing through you. This magic heals others and allows you to draw power (buffs) from the ingredients. You can also make poisons with this.

Ceremancy: A sort of weapon magic/martial art. Early on, you will just be enchanting weapons to be sharper/faster and more precise, but later on you'll ditch the weapons and conjure them out of thin air, or even weaponize the thin air itself using the techniques you used before. Think kind of a mixture of psionics and Shonen anime powers.

Glodism: Black magic, fueled by the power of famine. A mixture of sorcery and occultism, you need to incorporate a very specific item, a Black Shard, into your body in order to even use this magic, and even then you will be weak without proper study. However, this magic allows for the direct and brutal absorption of powers and life force through consuming enemies, and is incredibly destructive and powerful on its own even without devouring the powers of others.
