O sorrow, I have ended, you see, by respecting you, because I am certain you will never leave me.
Ah! I realize it: your beauty lies in the force of your being. You are like those who never left the sad fireside corner of my poor black heart.
O my sorrow, you are better than a well-beloved: because I know that on the day of my final agony, you will be there, lying in my sheets, O sorrow, so that you might once again attempt to enter my heart.
What’s scarier in your opinion: a world where there is an eternal afterlife based on your actions, or one where there’s just nothingness after death?
An eternal afterlife solely based on your actions. I don't think anybody is good enough to escape punishment, we'd all be damned if the afterlife was based on actions. Nothingness isn't as scary. It is just really, really depressing.
I believe there is an afterlife and you get accepted into heaven not for your good works, but because of salvation. Jesus died, taking the punishment for our actions in our place and we repent and place our faith in Jesus Christ to save us rather than on our own capability to perform good actions.

What's life without a little war to spice things up? Anyone who worries about the little things should notice the bigger picture.
I am (As drummerboy stated) The master of many faces, The unseen puppeteer, The illumination, & The unnoticed influence.
Favorite games series: Dark Souls. Shirtless Solaire. Best best game series of all time: Paper Mario. Fight me about it.
So spend your hours on What you think I've done wrong I know I'm in your mind I've been here way too long I want to spend my life With those who've done me right Your heart is frozen over I'm a four-leaf clover
If your child doesn't know how to assemble/disassemble every firearm by feel, the proper way to grill a burger on the grill, how to spell color without a 'u', detect commies from 500 miles away, and drive a car for 100 miles like it's nothing then you've basically failed as a parent.

Ha... ha... yeah. I can do all that. I'm a good American... Woohoo! Guns!

My name’s Gradius, this is my second account :P I love Hollow Knight and I have been on ddb for a while. Come rp with me anytime! It is my purpose. My title that was given to me by Drummer is…SPIRIT OF THE WEST, GUARDIAN OF THE HOLLOWS.
No cost too great. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering. Born of God and Void.

Hehe.
Though to be honest I don't own any guns. Have shot some (Boy Scouts gave an opportunity. Some rifle, shotgun, and blackpowder rifle shooting) though and it's fun. I've got a friend that's looking to be in law enforcement and talks about going to the range.
But I am an enthusiastic griller. It tastes good, leaves less dishes to clean, and is quite versatile. So I'll even fire it up in the middle of winter. And I buy steaks on sale in bulk which helps that to be a near-weekly treat. (At $4.99 per lb it's not too much higher than ground beef for example.)
man i was about to peacefully go to sleep until i remembered i’ve gotta memorize my lines for a theater project otherwise my partner will literally beat the living sh!t out of me

Anyways, finished S1 of Star Trek Prodigy. Nice feelgood show in the Trekverse.
I ain't never seen Star Trek other than the random episode here and there.
We need to fix that.
Original Series (TOS) can be a bit dated on effects, but I know others like it.
TNG (The Next Generation) is fun. The first couple seasons have some rough spots (and Roddenberry's horniness definitely shows though in a couple places) but also some great episodes. As time goes on there's a lot of good stuff. I love episodes like Inner Light and they're easy to skip around since there's not a ton of season-long plotlines. Very episodic. I like TNG a lot.
Voyager (VOY) is basically a Federation ship going far away from home and trying to get back home. Has a famous line of "There's coffee in that nebula."
Deep Space 9 (DS9) is the idea of a space station and deals with more war and things. Has a nice crossover with TOS in Troubles with Tribbles.
Enterprise (ENT) is going far back before the Federation is founded and some of humanity's first ventures into the Stars.
Discovery (DIS) starts as before TOS in the timeline and then jumps way ahead into the future. I've heard a mixed bag about it.
SNW (Strange New Worlds) is chronologically before TOS and I've heard good things about it. Also has Spock as a character. (Though obviously not played by Leonard Nimoy.)
If you're looking at the movies, DO NOT START WITH THE MOTION PICTURE. (Or, as some call, the Motionless Picture.) Start with something like Wrath of Khan (great movie), The Voyage Humor (Star Trek, but also comedy), Undiscovered Country (mimics post Cold War push to peace with Federation and Klingons embarking into the undiscovered country of cooperating with each other). First Contact is good and while some berate them, I'm fond of Insurrection and Nemesis.

So spend your hours on
What you think I've done wrong
I know I'm in your mind

With those who've done me right
