So I was reading a little thread with people's opinions on the worst subclass.
Saw a few referring to Purple Dragon Knight and was like, "hehe, that must be a joke homebrew, there's no way that's a real class name."
I was wrong. It's real.
And reading through it I see why they say it since its early feature are fairly lackluster, at least IMO.
I knew it existed but I don't think I have ever seen anybody play it.
For me I do tend to prefer casters over fighters. (Although Eldritch Knight and Battlemaster are attractive since they add additional options.)
I usually play casters because if I didn't our parties would be without magic or healing. I would like to try some more fighters at some point though. I have played several monks and I love them.
