Was looking up some D&D artwork. Found an interesting piece combined with a title that sounded like an interesting article read. Clicked on the link and was like, "Why is this a shopping thing?" Looked at more and it seemed fishy. Ended up seeing that it was a site that would literally take article titles from things like newspapers, websites, or reddit threads. Then it would take a random image and bill it as a product.
So you'd have things like questions billed as a product-name. After doing a little digging, since my interest was piqued, I found out the site was created less than 10 days ago and flagged with other scam websites in terms of sharing patterns.
A bit amusing though with how poorly designed it was I have to wonder how much they even get from something like that. I assume it's on the basis of "If even just a couple idiots buy our 'products' then we're making bank." Since they had crazy-high prices like $89 that were billed at total discounts like 44-51% plus "buy two get one free."
Lesson, kids. If it seems off then don't trust it.
Though I did eventually find the original article that intrigued me. So that's a win. :D Although it ended up being a lackluster article.
Any suggestions on how to use point buy in conjunction with manually rolling? What I did since I didn't know how I was supposed to do it is I just used my manually rolled scores added to the amount of points it takes to get you to a certain score number. So if I had a score of 10, then I would select the option that makes it go from 8 to 13, which would be 5 points, to make my score of 10 go up to 15. But I probably didn't do that right so that's why I'm askin'.

Ello everyone! Time for me talking about a new homebrew monster I found for this week!
Introducing… the Grendelkin!
Grendelkin are monstrous troll like creatures with two major differences. One, they are born of a dark ritual that transforms a baby before it is born, and two, they are a lot bigger. A LOT bigger. The smaller ones are usually around 80 feet tall, not including the horns. Largest ones can be twice as tall. Grendelkin can be born from any race or monster, be it a human, a dragon, a devil, or a fey, or anything else, the only requirements are a complex ritual requiring powerful magic to curse the child. Once it is born, it will rapidly grow over the course of around a month to three months before it becomes an adult. They are unwaveringly loyal to their parents and will fulfill their every need. Usually the only sentient creatures they will ever really interact with will be the parent that created them, which usually uses them as a weapon of mass destruction, wreaking havoc on entire cities or decimating armies. A Grendelkin often inherits traits from their parents, like scaly skin, feathered wings, or the ability to cast fey illusions. Grendelkin are terrifying to fight as they are either CR 25, or CR 32 for the stronger variant. (It comes from a beyond 20th level book)
