I'm now imagining a teen sitcom. It'll have a zany cast of characters each dealing with a different form of depression. Emotional high points with high moments. Drama when it gets bad. Hit you in the feels with A Very Special Episode when a new temp-character comes in. Definitely a tricky subject matter to make comedy but I feel like it could be done with the right writers and actors.

Also had an idea (might be bad) for a barbarian subclass.

Spellrager

Lv3: While raging you can still cast spells. You are a 1/3 Caster. Choose 2 cantrips from the Druid spell list and 3 known spells from the Druid & Ranger spell lists. You cannot concentrate on spells while raging. You can add your rage bonus to any damage spells you cast. STR is your spellcasting modifier.

Lv6: Whenever you use your action to cast a spell you may also use a bonus action to make one melee weapon attack. You may also expend a spell slot when raging to gain additional resistance to one damage type per level of the expended spell slot.

Lv10: You can now concentrate on spells while raging. You also have advantage on any concentration checks made to continue concentrating on spells from damage caused by any damage type you currently have resistance to while raging.

Lv14: Your intimidating presence while raging causes enemies to be distracted by your might. When you cast a spell with a saving throw on a creature within 20ft of you, that creature makes makes the save with disadvantage.

No.

I've got way too much to learn about homebrewing subclasses for that to be at all feasible.

Spells, feats, and magic items are far more simple. And with the feats/items some of those can still be tricky.
