"Oh no! Looks like I've taken Ragatha... AND DROPPED HER IN THE DEEP FRYER!" -Jax
When the golden star shines onto Earth and Carcosa aligns with it, Hastur shall walk the green fields of this world, and His courtiers shall build Him a manor. The sheep shall flock first, dying in circles with five at the center, their heads inclined inward. Then come the winds, in their cold beauty, ravaging the land while they whisper His praise. Then shall come the rains. The light of the golden star shall form shapes in the water. Then, the King in Yellow shall begin His grand performance. And all the world is His audience. For the rest of their time alive, they must witness His glory.
Hope takes flight.

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
There is cold and there is pain, yes, but it is worse than the torment above, and the endless burning or the breaking or the beating. It is the silence that makes it unbearable. The ripping agony of the hail and frozen wind and the numb excruciation of the ice below. I am alone in my suffering. Only the wind and the sound of Its chewing on those whose sins were worse than mine fill the mist. My face is covered in frost. Even the liberty of tears is taken from me. The only thing worse would be It. That mercy, at least, has been granted to me. And for that, in some fashion, I am grateful. But this is small consolation. The silence is worst. Even I myself cannot cry out.
Hope is dead.

along the shore the cloud waves break
twin suns sink behind the lake
the shadows lengthen
in Carcosa
strange is the night where black stars rise
and strange moons circle in the skies
but stranger still is
lost Carcosa

Songs that the hyades shall sing
Where flap the tatters of the king
must die unheard
in dim Carcosa
song of my soul, my voice is dead
die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
shall dry and die in
lost Carcosa

You sir, should unmask.
Indeed?

Indeed it’s time. We have all laid aside disguise but you.
I wear no mask.

an angel flies on wooden wings
pulled through the sky with iron strings
the gods cry out in fury and fear
But their warnings fell
on deaf ears
