Oh and also me and a bunch of other people are making a giant game on forum games about waging war, that being what the Baronies/Bronies being about, because I’m leading a faction called the baronies, which is like a bunch of nobles who think they’re better than everyone else and also they’re from the far realm.

Once we get it started there will be a bunch of threads for all the different factions, there’s also the Regnum Collective which is focused on the outer planes, the Wildeborn which is a bunch of angry druids, the dark legion which is an army fueled by the need for expansion, and the Square society, which worships cubes.

 Wow the factions sound so much sillier when you say them like that. ‘Angry Druids.’ ‘Worships Cubes.’

 Well I mean, am I wrong?

the rules part of it is like as long as this page is as of writing this, it’s a bunch of rules about waging war and leadership and taking prisoners and it all uses D&d rules for combat, with large scale army rules I found in an unearthed arcana for big battles. To destroy factions, you need to take all 3 of their bases and kill all of their important members. It’s very strange but I think we did a pretty good job. We’ll be posting them soon.

 

 Oh hell yea. I may join, if you’d be okay with that. I won’t be active all the time though. Do you use character sheets or have leveling rules?

 Generally we use either statblocks for simplicity or maybe we could add some rules to be able to convert CR to level, i believe it’s generally a 2:1 ratio, CR being equivalent to around 2 levels I think. Each faction has different ranks, soldiers, farmers, knights, generals, and the leader, which all have different CR limits. The leader of my faction, the red Baron, is an eldritch lich. There’s also a pool of creatures you can recruit for armies in mass specific for each faction, each costing a different amount of a certain resource, being wine in the case of the baronies. Farmers make resources, and stronger units take more resources to recruit. Besides type 6 troops, which you only recruit one at a time, the others recruit in increments of ten. The baronies’ troops are star spawn grue, chokers, Intellect devourers, spectators, Mind Flayer Psions, and then their type 6 troop is an elder brain dragon. And sure, you could join!

 Cool! CR generally is equivalent to an average 4 person adventuring party, like a CR 5 monster would be best against four level 5 adventurers. But CRs are kind of terrible at judging power level most of the time, so it’s hard to tell. Zariel is CR 26 and could solo every single demon lord easily, even if it was a 1v5. Also devas are wayyy overpowered for a CR 10.

 I doubt that. Laziness and bad work ethic are just things told to neurodivergent people to make them fit better into being wage slaves in office jobs
