Basically, in the thread, a bunch of high schoolers get to go to a special school where there can learn skills that most schools wouldn't teach. Instead of math, you might learn how to summon eldritch horrors beyond your comprehension. Or sewing. Or swordsmanship. Just about anything, as long as it doesn't kill everybody at the school, but even that rule isn't heavily enforced (It's been rebuilt 3 times in the past 100 years, which is honestly impressive) Instead of having grades, the school has ranks. The higher your rank, the better you're treated. Such as getting better lunches, or special access to certain areas of the school that are normally off limits. Ranks are normally increased through challenges, which can be literally anything. From capture the flag, to a scavenger hunt, to a giant poker tournament.
