Banned because yes, the players were saved by Providence, given some deep advice, then had to escape the moon before it blew up/got yoinked by the Void. Once they came back to their starting city, their quest giver, the Captain (they were originally redirecting lost magic items from a failed expedition but got caught up in this divine family feud), asks them “How’d you guys do?”
Complete silence plus 1-2 sniffles of sadness from the party. I think it got a bit too deep for a couple of new players.

Banned because that is the craziest intro campaign to D&D I think I've ever heard of, and I'm the guy who pitted 5 level 3 pcs against a red dragon wyrmling, 4 goblin bosses, and 8 goblins.

Banned because I was trying to be nice to them, they had good magic items tailored to them (halve hp, double damage? Wizard like very much!) and I even gave them a pet lizardfolk (lemurians, they were called) capable of spitting a ball of flames that dealt EXACTLY 1d6 + 1 FIRE DAMAGE. SUPER HELPFUL!
