Hello Darkflame! I'm Harmony! I agree with the nameless Yuan-ti about the organization, but I'm wondering why the iron golem didn't work for the lava tunnel, since they probably correspond.
I'm guessing that it has something to do with putting it on... best case scenario, you get transformed into whatever's on the amulet. It could also have something to do with the glowing crystal in the one I picked up.

"Hmmm... maybe we need an amulet to get across or through, but we have to put a different amulet at the end. I'm just guessing at this." He seems to think about something for a moment. "OH! I almost forgot to introduce myself! I'm Darkflare, or you could call me Flare for short." He says with a flamboyant bow. "This is my follower Tempest." He gestures to a winged kobold behind him. "May I have the pleasure of your names?" He says with a grin.

Sorry, I don't have a name.... Call me Conjurer, I guess.

Yeah, I was guessing that the pedestals at the end of each hallway had something on them with which to unlock the door.

"If someone was to put on that storm giant amulet and open the big door and leave it open, would the door stay open, or have you not tried that yet?" He asks with a skeptical look.

Hi, there new friend! My name is Mason and this * holds up the cat* is yang!
“My god! The testers are putting in so many new lab rats! HELLO FELLWO LAB RATS!!!” Jerry feels very very exited about the new fire star- woops, friends! I mean friends.
Interesting, “hi! Why do you have tentacles stuck on your face? Wait… are they attached? Are they fire resistant?” Jerry looks more terrified that they might be fire resistant then the fact that a mindfalyer is standing in front of him.
Mendigo went over and came back, did he get anything? Can he communicate anything? What’s he doing?
Mendigo didn't bring anything back, and he continues to trace the outline of the amulets (which are round) and point to the corridor whenever you question him.
Oh, danger Fun! * I trail after you with my new cat friends pausing at the lava* ... meh *I pull my bow and a water arrow out, shooting the lava then walking across the new stone* Whatcha doing?
The water arrow hisses in the lava, and the first 5ft. of the corridor turns to steaming stone. You have the presence of mind to move very quickly over the stone which turns back into lava just as you step off of it with a loud "plop!".
I am a Yuan-ti Wizard. I literally do not have a name (I won't be staying long, anyway). I pick up the iron golem amulet and misty step across the lava. If the other side is too far away to misty step, I cast fly on myself instead and fly over there. I inspect the pedestal, looking specifically to see if there might be a place on it to put the amulet I grabbed. Investigation if needed: 22
You pick up the amulet and make to walk over to the first corridor, but you only manage to get 5ft. from the podium before some invisible force prevents the amulet from moving any further!
I put the iron golem amulet on. If that does nothing after waiting for several seconds, I proceed to try to remove the glowing crystal from the amulet.
You put the iron golem amulet on. You immediately feel cold and heavy, your limbs seem to weigh as much as a mountain, but you can still move, though ponderously.
He smiles. "Tempest! I want you to put on the Storm Giant amulet and see if you can open the door." Tempest excitedly follows his orders.
Tempest picks up the storm giant amulet and puts it on. He moves over to the giant door, and heaves at the doorknob - but the door doesn't shift. You notice that the storm giant amulet doesn't have the same glow about it as the iron golem one, and a hole in the same place as the iron golem one has a crystal.
"Nice try Tempest, but you can come back now, we must wait for the Yuan-Ti to finish what they are doing. In the meantime, what is this strange creature?" He gestures towards the wooden puppet.

Also, completely unrelatedly, I realized I should have summoned a giant constrictor snake for the wood elf ranger, since I'm a Yuan-ti.

I haaven't gotten to that one yet, but I would guess there would be a stone pedestal on the other side of it.
