Game Synopsis
This story takes place in the world of Sol’Foranna from the perspective of an adventuring party originating from Foarland. Foarland is a land of great rivers, tall mountains, lush green forests and rolling plains. It is also the birthplace of the Order of the Sun, a religion that has thrown the kingdom into conflict more often than any other in recorded history. For the past three decades, a holy war has been waged upon the heretical Ravenni Elfs. The fighting has no end in sight however, as the dense jungle homes of the Ravenni are as much an enemy as the savage inhabitants themselves.
Twenty years ago, two Ravenni settlements were conquered and annexed into Foarland, their old names forgotten and their people subjugated and enslaved. It is to one of these towns, spitting distance from the front lines of the war, that your rag-tag group of caravan guards now journeys to.
About Me
I’m Mojake. I’ve been playing RPGs for almost 10 years, with experience in D&D 3.5e, 4e and 5e, Call of Cthulhu, Apocalypse World, Dark Heresy and Stars Without Number. Out of my time playing RPGs, around 90% of it has been behind the screen. I’m from the UK and have a pretty normal schedule. I can post most days, with weekends being the only possible problem due to me being a social butterfly [/sarcasm]. I’m big into fantasy as a genre, and have recently got back into reading after a long hiatus.
Type of Game / What I’m Looking For
Sol’Foranna is a world of my own creation, with great civilisations and endless opportunity. Most of the races from D&D are a part of this world, albeit with changes to lore and their names in certain cases. The world is full of bastions of safety, wild wilderness, lawless towns, god-fearing cults and vicious war. The technology available, largely due to the Dwarfs and Gnomi of the north, is akin to 15th century Europe. Primitive firearms and cannons are available, but still rare enough to carry a hefty price tag. Industry is beginning to emerge dominant over magic in certain lands, and many kingdoms are making choices between developing science, peace and warfare. I will include a separate section with race lore.
This will be a PbP game, during which I will aim to post a "key reply" that moves the story or combat forward every day, with minor posts for RP or answering questions when I am able. I am looking for players interested in exploring what this world has to offer through thought-out choices, interactions with the world and a real passion for developing the world and story together. I am looking for those of you who will interact with each other as much as you do with the DM, those of you willing to get sucked into the world and help build and shape the lore as we play. I am not looking for the following: power-gamers, single-sentence posters, “edgelords”, rule-lawyers or players who attempt to dictate the actions of others.
Players of all experience levels are accepted, but please at least read the basic rules.
Ideally, I would have time zones be similar. I am GMT, and would prefer anybody within 4 hours of my time, as I aim to make my main post around 6/7pm (this may vary). Because of the one day delay between posts, I cannot encourage players to roleplay between posts enough.
Rules
Starting at level 3.
Standard array for abilities. Upon levelling up, the average health will be taken.
One thing that is very important to me is that players proof-read their replies before posting. Bad spelling and awful grammar break immersion in my opinion.
If you fail to reply to the thread, your action will be decided for you in the most passive way possible, in the main post of the following day. Please check the thread at least daily.
If you fail to reply without informing me for 3 days, you’ll be removed. If you inform me, you can take all of the time you need with good reason.
Please feel free to inbox me any questions regarding lore or rules.
During in-character dialogue, please select a font, style or colour to differentiate between talking out of character or describing actions, and enclose dialogue in quotation marks (“Hello.”). If you include tooltips for D&D Beyond content, you will be my favourite player.
When making a roll, use a separate line and use a bold font in a similar format to the example shown. If you believe it necessary, or if it isn’t already explicit, include the damage type as part of the attack.
Guiding Bolt (Radiant): Attack: 18 Damage: 18 (on a hit, the next attack vs target has advantage)
Primitive firearms from Arcane Artillery are available. Also included from that supplement are the expanded fighting styles, the class proficiencies for firearms and the related feats. It is very unlikely that you will start the game with a firearm, and may only do so if I believe that your character concept and background permits it. Arcane Artillery: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BwRBp4t9A8LbWTR4Rk9rdEF2NGM
Out of character text should be prefaced with [OoC] and included on the last line of your reply, if you think it necessary to clear up your intent.
We’re using XP, which is given equally (as best I can) for completing combats, social encounters, exploring and for things that I think warrant it. Conflict does not need to resort to combat for you to gain XP.
I’ll roll initiative for everybody at the start of combat, editing my post to show the order. This is to decrease the day or so it takes for each person to roll initiative, bogging down combat horrendously.
Loot will be split equally and shared out. Items will go to those who present the best argument for it (voted upon by others by ‘upvoting’ the argument). In the case of a draw, it’ll come down to the dice gods.
Finally, if you are new to PbP games, please consider what you are getting into. They are long, slow games, where a single combat can take a whole week or more. If you are impatient, please reconsider.
Applications
Please reply to the thread with the following information:
Character name. I will include the real-world culture similarities in the lore for each race as inspiration (you don't need to abide by them).
Class and race (check the lore section).
Description/personality, limited to two paragraphs. Since this is a roleplay heavy game, try to include things that I can work with.
You may include a backstory (if you choose not to, it won't affect your application), but please keep it concise.
Your experience as a player, and a sentence or two about yourself.
Your time zone.
I will be deciding on the players over the coming weekend, so try to apply by Friday. I'm looking for around 6 players, but that may be subject to change depending on applications.
World Information
Religion Lore
These are the primary religions of the world. Races not mentioned likely follow one of these belief systems, if not one of their own creation.
The Order of the Sun worship the Warmfather, an omnipotent deity of light and fire. The Warmfather is constantly at war with the Nightspawn, an embodiment of evil. The religion is primarily based in Foarland. The clergy of the order are known as the Sunbishops, the leaders of which are the enigmatic Dawn and Dusk. The Order has a force of holy crusaders known as the Lucidiar Knights.
The Dwarfs, Drakmer and Gnomi worship the Morthaus Pantheon. This pantheon consists of 10 gods, each with their own religious sect with their own clergy, rituals and leaders. The Gods are Stern (The Master of the Skies), Erdliebe (The Earth-Mother), Wissen (The Lorekeeper), Dunkel (The Watchful Eye), Todwaschen (The Soulcaller), Erntlebe (The Fruitbringer), Gestat (The Childbearer), Zauber (The Arcane), Blitzorn (The Stormduke) and Kriegun (The Lord of Battle). The clergy of Zauber and Kriegun each have their own holy warriors named the Konklave Magier and Soldat Morthaus, respectively. Worship of Zauber has been all but wiped out since the restriction on magic in Dwarf lands.
The Ravenni Elfs believe in Qa'Haro, a religion based around worship of Eyara, a nature spirit. Their followers are known as the Eyar'Ithin, and their warriors are known as the Lux'Eyar.
The Kiril Elfs are atheistic, as believing in a god would suggest that they are not the most superior beings on Sol'Foranna.
The races of Ridmark follow the Codes of Gundren, a religion based around a deity named Eksil who claims to be nothing more than a god of hatred. The Uvelkomme are the savage followers of Eksil led by their vile king and his legion of Loathesingers.
Race Lore
Aarakocra - Old Race - Primarily found in the jungles of Ravenne, often brightly coloured. The Aarakocra are hermits by nature, preferring homes high in the trees or mountains of Ravenne, away from other races. No formal naming conventions.
Aasimar (Sunblessed) - New Race - Began to appear in Foarland, their appearance was seen as a blessing by the Warmfather, and a Sunblessed child is immediately indoctrinated into the Order of the Sun. Sunblessed born to human parents are stripped of their previous family and elevated to the upper echelons of society with a new Sunblessed family. From here, many Sunblessed join the clergy of the Sunbishops, or are conscripted into the Lucidiar Knights. Naming conventions are similar to English.
Dragonborn (Drakmer) - Old Race - The Drakmer share Stuhberg with the Dwarves and Gnomi. Despite inhabiting the lands for eons, they only began to prosper after the Dwarves and Gnomi brought industry to their country and agreed on peace instead of invasion. Naming conventions are similar to Scandinavian.
Dwarf - Old Race - The Dwarfs originated in Kapflochland. In recent centuries, the Dwarfs have forsaken the worship of Zauber the Arcane, and have heavily restricted the use of magic in Kapflochland and Stuhberg; viewing it as an advantage that few hold undeserved over the rest of the population. The Dwarfs and the Gnomi have worked together to create an astonishing industry relying on techniques formed from the ancient study of Runekraft. They are not only responsible for the creation of the Kriegzeug, but also for the manufacture of firearms, primitive engines, siege cannons, automatons, and more. Naming conventions are similar to German.
Wood Elf (Ravenni) - Old Race - The Ravenni Elfs have long dominated the lands to the south of Sol'Foranna. From the vast jungles of Ravenne to the deserts of Lorcterre and the primitive lands of Nancris they rule. The savage Ravenni jungle Elfs starkly contrast the somewhat civilised High Elfs of Conzia and Literro. Naming conventions are similar to French.
High Elf (Kiril) - Old Race - Relatives of the Ravenni elfs, the Kiril High Elfs instead are the picture of civility and grace. They rule in their towers in Literro and Conzia, looking down at most other races of the world. Were it not for their constant bickering with each other and political machinations, the Kiril would likely have cleansed the Gundren Horde from Ridmark and would be the most successful empire in Sol'Foranna. Naming conventions are similar to Italian.
Firbolg - Old Race - The Firbolg live in relative harmony with the jungle Elfs of Ravenne, tending to live as nomads trekking through the vast jungles. Though they appear friendly to many, they will defend their jungle with ruthless violence if pushed. No formal naming conventions.
Genasi - New Race - Hailing from the godless lands of Literro, the Genasi are rumoured to be the result of a magical catastrophe that occurred during battle with the Loathesingers of Ridmark. Despite their supposed spawning at the hands of the Gundren Horde, they owe no fealty to their wicked king and choose to live comfortably in Literro with the Kiril. No formal naming conventions.
Gnome (Gnomi) - New Race - Many believe that the Gnomi are a stunted breed of Dwarf, formed from arcane experiments in the name of Zauber the Arcane, a huge contributing factor in the restriction of magic amongst the Dwarf lands. The Gnomi are much like Dwarfs, industrial and studious, albeit more magical in nature. Naming conventions are similar to German.
Goliath - Old Race - Originating from the Foarish Mountains, the few Goliath people were subjugated by the human invaders and integrated into society many years ago. They hardly differ from humans these days, except for their size and traditions. No formal naming conventions.
Half-elf - New Race - Elfs rarely mate with other races, especially the Kiril. However, when such a union occurs, a Half-elf is sired. Almost all races show disgust towards Half-elfs. Those who ally themselves with Foarland see them as an enemy waiting to strike, whereas the Kiril view them as a blemish on their superiority. Ravenni Half-elfs are extremely rare, with only a small number of documented cases. No formal naming conventions.
Half-orc - New Race - Even more ostracised are the Half-orcs. The savage folk of Ridmark are hated by all other creatures on Sol'Foranna, despite being the most diverse. Half-orcs are rarely accepted in other societies, and more often than not fall in with the Gundren Horde as pirates, soldiers or assassins. Naming conventions tend to be insults or unflattering, think of the Unsullied from a Song of Ice and Fire.
Human - Old Race - Humans make up one of the biggest empires in Sol'Foranna. Foarland is one of the most prosperous regions in the world, and is always seeking to strengthen its hold on the western continents. The almost fanatical religion known as the Order of the Sun is now the primary belief system for Foarish people, whether they like it or not. Some say it is because of the Order that Foarland find themselves almost perpetually at war. After the peace agreements with the Dwarfs of Stuhberg and Kapflochland, Foarland soon waged holy war on the Ravenni elves, invading their jungles and burning or beaming any heretics they could capture. The Dwarfen Empire profited largely from this war due to the trade of firearms and other marvels. Naming conventions are similar to English.
Tabaxi - Old Race - Tabaxi come from the deserts of Lorcterre, where they are often in conflict with the Ravenni Elfs who reside in Nancris. They are one of the oldest races in Sol'Foranna, perhaps as old as the Drakmer themselves. No formal naming conventions.
Triton (Seafolk) - New Race - Nobody knows how long the Seafolk have been around for. There have been rumoured sightings for millennia, but it was only after explorers landed on the Untamed Isle that they found the Seafolk city. The Seafolk have no name for their country, and prefer it kept that way. Others have taken to calling it the Untamed Isle, and very few non-Seafolk have ever survived a visit. Naming conventions are unknown to scholars, with no patterns or regularities.
Warforged (Kriegzeug) - New Race - Forged by Dwarf and Gnomi Runekrafters, the Kriegzeug were designed to be autonomous war machines. It was only after they were created that the Dwarfs realised they were sentient. This mistake threw up great controversy in Stuhberg, with many calling for the Kriegzeug to be destroyed, and many others calling for them to be integrated into society as their own race. The latter won the votes and the Kriegzeug now live all across Kapflochland, Stuhberg and Foarland. Their creation is perhaps another factor in the restriction of arcanism and Runekraft in Dwarfen lands. Kriegzeug were originally named by their model and number. Since, they choose names for themselves based usually on their homeland.
Description/personality-Erich is a slimmer built man with brown hair and blue eyes. Erich's main goal through adventuring is to take revenge for his family. He is slow to trust other people but will take the time to learn about them. He finds orcs and goblins to be the most detestable beings and has a special hatred for them. Although he doesn't feel the same hatred for half-orcs since they didn't choose their parents. He is always curious about the arcane and reads any material he can get about them.
Backstory-I grew up in a noble family being taught bowman-ship as a hobby and learning a little about the arcane arts. When I was around 14 my family was attacked and my home burned. I was able to escape in an underground tunnel with what I could after I made it to the woods surrounding my house I looked back seeing the goblins and some orcs celebrating I then looked over what I had grabbed, I had my bow some leather armor and the two swords I had started training with and a backpack I had packed for a family trip with my scroll of pedigree my ring and some gold. I continued into the woods hiding my face when I was close to my home but as I got farther I started showing my face more. I hunted for most of my food improving my bow skills and selling the skins for more money. Deciding to try to continue my training in the arcane arts I picked up an escort job for the extra gold.
Have played pathfinders and 5e irl, and played through an okay amount of PbP
Personality and description-Arvel is a touch Aasimar labed as a Scourge, he body clearly built for battle with a muscly and large frame, his light gray skin in contrast with his right eye and a bright green and his left eye shining a golden color. Arvel seemed to be more I tune with his inner spirit and seems to constantly talk with it. He’s decently communicable but always enjoys a good fight.
I’ve, only ever played 5e and don’t have to much experience, but I do love role play and the idea of this campaign really interests me, I live in central standard

Marvarax andSora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan
Class and Race: (Wild Magic Sorcerer) Kiril(HighElf)-Human Half-elf
Description: Miles is a gangly, taller then average boyish-due to his large eyes and smaller face, twenty something male. Despite signs of trying to hide it, like his everpresent stubble, he has the telltale fey like bodily characteristics that shows his half-elf Kiril bastard origins. His defining characteristics are his ever present stubble that has seemingly frozen at a very short point of growth, short brown untamed hair that seemingly shimmers with some kind of undertone, and small-ears always covered in bandages
Backstory: Miles is the bastard son of an high ranking Kiril official, perhaps some type of legislative or judicial body, he has no idea and says to all those that know of his origins that he would like to keep it that way. His mother was a traveling *****/merchant that had sold herself out that night for unknown reasons, she had died at the cusp of his adult years when he was working up the courage to finally ask. After this, he would apprentice at a few different artisan occupations but nothing kept his interest too long. One night, a group of fantatic Foarland sunworshipping humans cornered him in an ally, and forcefully cut at his long elf-like ears. In his moment of panic and pain, wild magic burst from his every pore, and startled and mildly injured all the men present. Although Miles isn’t a highly wanted criminal, he found it best to skip town, and somehow ended up with an adventuring caravan while trying to figure his life out.
Me: Experience both being a player and DM with IRL 5e. At college now, haven’t really found a new play group, was craving some DnD and wound up here.
Are you allowing Halflings or no? Just curious as I don't see them on the race list. I've got a character in mind for one, and if allowed the name and race will change accordingly below. If the race isn't allowed, it's no issue at all and I'll roll with the following:
Zip Hinklefritz
Forest Gnome Wizard (Diviner)
Luck has a certain way of following individuals; especially if they can predict the future. I've made small names for myself among the commonwealth: Thief, Charlatan, Con. These are all hurtful names, because Fate is a fickle mistress, and no one can perfectly predict her next move, right? In my most humble opinion, the people need reassurance in an uncertain world. Farmers need to know what to expect from harvests, gamblers need to know how the dice will toll, and merchants need to know their caravans will arrive safely. It's not the fortune-teller or the charm-dealer who made your luck run dry, it's all in the hands of Fate. -From the Journal of Zip Hinklefritz
Zip was a naturally gifted fast-talking con-artist. From rigging bets to causing commotions in marketplaces to get discounts, there was never a ruse or scam too ambitious. His big break came they day he encountered Mortimer the Mad. The crazy old coot was wandering around town, staring through an emerald the size of an egg, but he was careless about it. He kept leaving it just out of reach to babble on and yell at the passing birds. When Zip tried to swoop in, the old man caught the gnome's wrist blind and started chanting some nonsense - or so it seemed to anyone passing by. To Zip, however, every word was pure, thinly-veiled prophesy. For three years, Zip followed the mad wizard. He studied every book Mortimer carried and practiced every gesture and incantation he could decipher. Unfortunately, the crazed mage wasn't the greatest of teachers and usually spoke in allegory more often than not (or so Zip hoped)
In time, Zip parted ways with Mortimer, but old ways die slow and hard. With a pack full of "inherited" books, Zip went from town to town, but his sights were set higher than loaded dice and planted vermin at stalls. The world was afraid of the unknown, and Zip had learned to see through its veil.
Experienced- Many years playing, though mostly single session, short campaigns, and PBP.

Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Description/Personality: Alexia is tall, with pale blond hair and light skin. Her eyes are dark grey, and watch everything around her carefully. Three long scars are visible on her cheek from one of the many beasts of the forest. When Alexia is looking at you, it's impossible to tell if she's planning the best way to attack you or merely curious about what you're saying. Alexia is perfectly friendly with everyone, if a little distant. She's unused to long conversations, and may drift off on tangents or become lost in her own world. In addition, she expresses untamed wonder for new things, be they ink pens or firearms.
Backstory: Alexia spent a great deal of her early life in the jungles of Ravenne, practicing the worship of Qa'Haro. She was content, perfectly happy with the family and friends she had in her community. One night, in a dream, she was visited by an entity she knew to be a representative of Eyara. The creature made her an offer-accept a gift of Eyara's own power, in return for going out into the world. Alexia was warned it would not be easy, but accepted the creature's offer and left, accompanied by the sprite Riannis. Traveling was difficult, but Alexia quickly realized that she enjoyed seeing new things and places. Now, the small caravan company she's a part of is headed back towards her people, and Alexia can't decide if she's nervous or delighted.
Me: I've been playing D&D for several years, and participated in a few PbP games that have all died out early. I love roleplay and very much enjoy getting deep into my characters. Either Discord or DDB would be fine for me.
This sounds fun, but I’m on mobile and can’t figure out how to change text color on this for dialogue (there’s no toolbar, and attempting to make this use the desktop site does not work, it just stays on the mobile site). Should I still apply? Is that a huge problem?
Character Name: Galius Pax
Class/Race: Sunblessed Aasimar/ College of Glamour Bard
Description: Galius looks like art. He is taller than average, although that might just be his posture combined with a leanly muscled frame. His skin is unblemished and has a bronzed sort of tan. His fingers are the long, strong and dexterous fingers of a musician. His hair is blonde and curly, and his face always seems to express emotions more than what others might manage. In a word, he is beautiful.
Backstory: Galius is the adopted son of a Sunbishop, born originally to ordinary and now unknown human parents. He has been brought up to become another priest of the Warmfather, but has shown talents that would assist the Lucidiar Knights. Both orders have tried to encourage him to join them. He has decided to go out and experience the world for himself for awhile before making up his mind.
My experience: I’ve played 5e, mostly pbp and discord for a couple years. I’m pretty familiar with the rules, but I find myself learning something I didn’t know all the time.

Not at all, as long as you can format your replies to make it obvious when speaking in character. Do italics work for you?

No, I don’t have a toolbar at all. The only things I’ve managed to get to work are by adding tool tips tags, so I can manage rolling dice, and spell tool tips. There may be others I just haven’t figured out yet. I go digging through help threads once in awhile, it seems I’m not the only one with this issue.
It hasn’t been an issue thus far for me, but I definitely see why you’d want the distinction. Usually, I either split paragraphs so that the dialogue can stand on its own, or I put it somewhere sensible, not hidden amongst a paragraph of action description.

That sounds absolutely fine to me.

"The most important step a person can take is always the next one." -Dalinar Kholin; Oathbringer
Description/personality, limited to two paragraphs. Scorch is a tall and lean brass scaled dragonborn. What he lacks in strength he makes up for with personality. He had always grown up hearing about how brass dragons are the weakest of all the dragons and being pretty thin and skinny and this has always bothered him. He is energetic, kind, and loves to joke with others. He loves to talk with anyone that will listen, sometimes to the dismay of others. At a young age he could tell that he had more in common with brass dragons than just the color of his scales as he began to develop magic abilities. After a few accidents, Scorch was able to develop his abilities and is no longer picked on for not being as big and strong as his fellow dragonborn.
You may include a backstory (if you choose not to, it won't affect your application), but please keep it concise. (I kind of combined this with his personality above)
Your experience as a player, and a sentence or two about yourself. I have only ever played games on this site but absolutely love to RP and play races that have neat abilities. I figure if I want to be a human I can go do something in real life. I am a 32 year old father of 3 that plays most of the time while at work but can also post in the evenings and weekends (but it is more limited)
What seems to work for me regarding mobile and toolbar is simply turning your phone sideways. For whatever reason that gives me a nearly perfect desktop view.
Also regarding Discord, I don’t personally have one, and it seems intrested picked back up, so I vote just continuing on here.
P.S.S, I’m pretty happy with my half-elf character but I was curious on your thoughts of the Guilds of Ravnica races since they weren’t on the list. I’m sure most of the ones like goblins, or Minotaurs would fit into the Ridmark horde, but what about the more civil ones like Centuars, Luxodons, Vedelkans?
Backstory: At a young age Lucina was abandoned by her parents, her father walked out long before she was born and her mother thought of her as a disgusting creature. Lucina spent her time trying to survive, sometimes stealing, sometimes kind people would take pity on the child. After all, she had not chosen to be born, she had not chosen to be thrown to the streets. Eventually someone took pity on her and saw a bit of potential in her, a kind man named William Deregan. He gave her a place to stay and helped her learn to control abilities that she had not known she was even capable of. By the time she was 14 years old, William had died, not before pulling a favor in order to give her a means to survive. She now works in a tavern, still living in the place William had given her to stay although it was rather run down.
Description/personality: She is usually very quiet and prefers not to stir up any conflicts, however depending on what happens she does have a tendency to let her temper flare up. If there is some foolish argument going on, she will avoid getting involved unless it actually involves her, even then she will try and make both parties happy. She takes things very seriously, and will overthink things to a rather confusing extent. Lucina has light blonde hair and a shocking set of blue eyes, she is a little short, standing at about 5'4". Her skin tone is fair and she does not like to wear anything flashy, something decent but something that would allow her to blend in to a crowd if she wishes.
I have played a few 5e campaigns and a few Pathfinder campaigns as well, I have been playing for almost two years now. I have played a few pbp campaigns but sadly, none of them ever finished and ended.
Personality: Kalf has messy brown hair and a short beard (mostly because he is too lazy to shave), he is slightly shorter than average but makes up for it by being very muscular. Kalf is stubborn and reserved and finds it hard to open up about his past without being drunk. He learned to protect himself at a young age and uses these skills to protect others. He will always try to help less fortunate people and is very protective of small children.
Backstory: He was a single father and a guard for his town. One day a group or bandits broke into his home and kidnapped his daughter. He wasn't strong enough to protect her and has made a vow to get stronger and protect everyone he can.
About me: I have never played D&D before. I am an 18 year old Male with a lot of free time.
This sounds fun, but I’m on mobile and can’t figure out how to change text color on this for dialogue (there’s no toolbar, and attempting to make this use the desktop site does not work, it just stays on the mobile site). Should I still apply? Is that a huge problem?
As someone else mentioned, turning the screen sideways works. Alternatively, you can go to your settings (usually a 3-dot button at top-right) and switching to Desktop View. This will enable the toolbar.

Rules
Applications
Please reply to the thread with the following information:
Race Lore
"The most important step a person can take is always the next one." - Dalinar Kholin; Oathbringer
(Edit added character sheet)
Characters will be starting at level 3, I knew I'd forgotten something!
"The most important step a person can take is always the next one." - Dalinar Kholin; Oathbringer
Name-Arvel
Class and race-Zelot Barbarian, Scourge Aasimar
Personality and description-Arvel is a touch Aasimar labed as a Scourge, he body clearly built for battle with a muscly and large frame, his light gray skin in contrast with his right eye and a bright green and his left eye shining a golden color. Arvel seemed to be more I tune with his inner spirit and seems to constantly talk with it. He’s decently communicable but always enjoys a good fight.
I’ve, only ever played 5e and don’t have to much experience, but I do love role play and the idea of this campaign really interests me, I live in central standard
Marvarax and Sora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan
Are you allowing Halflings or no? Just curious as I don't see them on the race list. I've got a character in mind for one, and if allowed the name and race will change accordingly below. If the race isn't allowed, it's no issue at all and I'll roll with the following:
In time, Zip parted ways with Mortimer, but old ways die slow and hard. With a pack full of "inherited" books, Zip went from town to town, but his sights were set higher than loaded dice and planted vermin at stalls. The world was afraid of the unknown, and Zip had learned to see through its veil.
Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser
Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale
Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
If it would generate more interest or fit players better, I can consider using Discord as the platform instead of D&DB forums.

Either or works for me
Name: Alexia
Race: Wood Elf
Class: Warlock, Pact of the Archfey

DM, Project Point (Teams Scimitar and Longsword)
Everything Else!

Paladin - warforged - orange
(Can I play a kobold?)
Not at all, as long as you can format your replies to make it obvious when speaking in character. Do italics work for you?
Kobolds are of Ridmark and are mostly killed on sight by civilised folk, so it would cause too many problems I'm afraid.
"The most important step a person can take is always the next one." - Dalinar Kholin; Oathbringer
Paladin - warforged - orange
That sounds absolutely fine to me.
"The most important step a person can take is always the next one." - Dalinar Kholin; Oathbringer
(No kobold then)
Scorch is a tall and lean brass scaled dragonborn.
(I kind of combined this with his personality above)

Name: Kalf
Class And Race: Human Cleric
Time Zone: I live in England GMT
As someone else mentioned, turning the screen sideways works. Alternatively, you can go to your settings (usually a 3-dot button at top-right) and switching to Desktop View. This will enable the toolbar.
