Name: Aghatar Steelbringer (Male) Race: Dragonborn (Silver) Class: Paladin (future Oath of Vengeance) Background: Noble Backstory: Third in line of the noble and renown Steelbringer family, whose ancestor was said to have commanded a whole dragonarmy in a huge but long forgotten war, Aghatar spent his youth studying how to enhance his family's glory. He ended up serving in a temple in his homeland as fighter and justice-bringer, realizing that justice couldn't be granted without the use of might. Now he follows the path to become a true Paladin, bearing his Tenets of Vengeance with him.
Name: Daegal Oakenshadow Race: Shadar-Kai Class: Druid (possibly Circle of Spores) Background: Guild Merchant Backstory: Daegal was raised among the members of the Emerald Enclave, though his ideas sometimes put him at odds with other members. After a particularly strong disagreement, he was encouraged to take some time away from the Enclave. He makes his living as a wandering merchant selling natural remedies and potions of his own devising.
Hilde is 207 and has spent her life collecting Smithing lore. She is a fine smith herself and can make enchanted armour and weapons. She uses her hammer as a weapon. It is called Orckiller.
Backstory: She is a part of a group of women warriors called “The Hangmen” (literally known for hanging men) who deal out vigilante justice to men who have wronged women. Not trained warriors, all self-taught. The group is small and has decided they need to spread their influence by going to separate areas of the land to gain more members and enact more justice. When Leafric branches out on her own for the first time, she takes a man’s blade that was hanging above his mantle after he almost bested her and struck him down with it. After she uses the blade she has a vision from the Raven Queen, she feels more powerful and emboldened to take on more than just bad men with the Raven Queen’s power.

Looking up from Syldrayne's letter, Agathar's mind begins to analyze this situation. Is this a local phenomenon? I should see if there are signs of this rotting even here, before leaving for Syldraine's city... If the resurrection is broken only there, then I should find some clues to trace the origin of this evil... And when I'll find it... well... the culprit will hang in front of everyone!
The scion of Steelbringer family begins to pack up his equipment, ready for departure. And what about a global event? The will of an evil God? I should discuss this with the archmage... But one thing I know: the power of a God resides in the will of his worshippers. And I will crush their will - the Paladin tightens his sword scabbard - and lessen this God's power!
His mind and body are ready to join another quest.
As one who accepts death as a vital part of the natural order of things, Daegal was very intrigued when he was contacted by Sylvia Syldrane. He quickly closed his wandering shop and gathered his potions and various ingredients, eager to examine this phenomenon in person. A change in the balance of magic that sustains between life and death is concerning depending on its source. Daegal would welcome it, if it is a new evolution of life. Otherwise, someone with the tremendous power to alter this magic is very concerning indeed.
when you arrive at Sylviras manor, a uniformed attendant leads you up a grand staircase to the third floor, then ushers you into a wood-paneled room with a fireplace, comfortable chairs, and a heavy table bearing goblets and bottles of wine. The darkly paneled walls are hung with maps and sea charts. Racks, shelves, and cabinets hold hundreds more rolled-up maps and charts.
A person is seated in an overstuffed chair near the fire. You can’t discern a gender, because only the person’s head emerges from under a heavy blanket draped over the chair, and an embroidered hood and silver mask conceal the wearer’s face. Even the person’s dry, raspy voice provides no clue. “Help yourselves to wine, and seat yourselves, friends — I hope I may call you that.”
Leafric reads the letter and rubs her thumb over her temple, wondering how she got the attention of such a powerful figure. She understands there is a balance to life, yet being resurrected is a second chance that she has seen be used for good. She has taken life, she has spared it, but always makes the choice based on the individual. Punishing a whole group— letting them rot in their gift— that isn't justice. If someone with that much power is out there, she's not sure what she can do to stop it and hopes there will be others answering the call as well.
--------
When Leafric arrives, she is impressed by the finery in the manor. She's been to a lord's home once, but not as a guest. She will pour a goblet of wine and pull out a chair as instructed. Once the others take their seat, she'll speak up, "Archmage Sylvia Syldrane? This matter sounds urgent." Leafric will mindlessly swirl her goblet in one hand, brows furrowed as she says,"Do you know when and where this issue with resurrection began? Who would have the power to do such a thing other than the gods?"
