I looked on a lot of the forms and I could not find an answer to this question so if anyone can assist that would help me out. I am building a Hunter Ranger Fighter and wanted to know if I can use volley and infuse one of those arrows with my arcane shot.
Arcane shot says it can be applied to a single arrow as part of the attack action. Volley says you need to roll a separate attack for each enemy, and that you need sufficient ammunition to do it. I'd rule you could use your arcane shot for one of the arrows you fire as part of the volley, but only one, not the entire volley. I'd personally make you declare, before you roll, which of them is the arcane arrow.

No. Arcane Shot requires the Attack action, and Volley grants its own special action. You could use Magic Arrow and Curving Shot with Volley however.

Volley does not use the Attack action.

Yeah, I thought about that. Still, I'd let someone do it, but I'm sometimes overly generous (why I said "I'd rule"). And sometimes overly strict.
