Im making him a heavy metal bard who is chaotic evil, and is bubbling to start his own performing troop, and make his mark on the cult of Rakdos ( and ravnica of course. ) Any tips on how to play his personality and not be a murder hobo.

I dont know very much at all about Ravnica, but unless Rakdos is a cult that specifically requires its members to be murderhobos a CE bard could be someone who just couldnt care less about authority, and also happen to be a member of a cult. D&D Beyond is a bit of a hivemind so im sure at least 20 people will rush to say "aLignMenT doEsnT eveN maTteR" But as long as Rakdos isnt a cult that requires its members to be murderhobos, then you wont be a nuisance to the party, but if it is i think you should pick a different cult bc evil characters are always a problem

Thanks for the information. Were having a session 0 today, so i think im going to make the character lean towards the more chaotic side of the chaotic evil. The rakdos like to cause chaos most, so i will use my abilitys to cause chaos whenever i can without impeding the party.

Rakdos may be about destruction, but their are certainly several layers to it.
You might be a murderhobo, where you're still a character with bonds flaws and weaknesses, but you're just a bit crazy in some regards.
Or their'sa murderhobo, who has no personality, or flaws and just goes about killoing everyone.
Rakdos is just about having fun, and they do it in a very crazy way. Your character can achieve that fun in many different ways. Not neccesarily the as crazy ways as most Rakdos cultists (because having a regular Rakdos cultist could mess up the campaign as you mention).
Their are many sides on the scale, and your character doesn't have to be on the very craziest end of it.

BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!

Given that Rakdos (ther chap in charge of the cult) is a demon then it might be worth having Summon Lesser Demons in your spell selection, conjure in a bunch of imps all of which are cavorting about with musical isntruments and their attacks are all flavooured to invovlve their instrument of choice, have a slightly cringey motto of "time to get the band back togehter!" when you summon them.

I’d aim somewhere between Gene Simmons of KISS and GG Allin.
I think that nails it
