I've read a lot of threads and handbooks about the Moon Druid, how awesome it can be, and what form is the most useful at what level. However, with my group, I find myself more often than not in a situation where size does matter.
For instance, the go-to combat form at level 6-8 is the Giant Constrictor Snake or the Giant Elk. Both are Huge size, which means they won't fit indoors unless you're in a huge palace and they won't fit in most dungeon crawling settings. So I have to make do with the Saber Tooth Tiger - which is not huge, but still large, so is pretty annoying to manoeuver through doors or in the midst of an indoors battle.
When we're in the open, everything's fine, and I can go on a rampage with a huge form. But most games I've played have a lot of dungeon crawling, and I feel cramped in here.
So, are there any medium-sized CR1, CR2, CR3 or CR4 beasts that a druid can turn into and still be effective when his bigger forms are cumbersome ?

make them make a strength saving throw, against the Armour class of the roof above them. if they succeed, they break through the roof. if they fail, they end up with a medium version of it with a little less strength and constitution.
When you can transform into a CR 4 beast you already have Elemental Wild Shape, and you're only 1 level away when you get CR 3 options. These are atleast only large and all have some movement enhancement (Earth Glide, Water Form, etc) that allows them to pass by some obstacles fairly easily.

Thanks ;)
It doesn't look like it. THe highest CR medium0sized beast is a Deinonychus from VGtM or a Clawfoot from ERftLW.
Not many.
The only medium-sized beasts of those CRs are:
Clawfoot from Eberron: Rising of the Last War
Deinonychus from Volo's Guide to Monsters.
That's it.
