While wearing these bracers, you have proficiency with the Longbow and Shortbow, and you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls made with such weapons.
Notes: Damage: Shortbow, Damage: Longbow, Proficiency: Shortbow, Proficiency: Longbow, Damage, Buff, Combat, Wristwear
With Archery fighting style these bracers effectively turn all bows into +2 bows and any +3 bows into +5 bows.
Indeed! Loving the combo for an arcane archer fighter. A flurry of high-powered Sharpshooter attacks with ridiculous damage output. Make them STR based and have the oversized longbow from Dragon Heist, and you can rip shit.
can you use this with crossbows?
hi
No, 'with such weapons' means it's short- and longbows only
If I get to add this to my arcane archer they will have a +12 to hit with their longbow.
This is to op
not quite... its only +2 to dmg rolls not on the attack roll, so u dont get the +2 to hit witch is a way bigger deal than +2 dmg.. ;)
And as OP said, "with Archery fighting style" (which gives +2 to hit with bows and xbows, etc) AND these bracers, you would now have +2 to hit and +2 to damage.
Looks like Jeremy Crawford rules on this ... sadly, no.

Just damage huh
unfortunately not
My question is; does the +2 bonus stack with the proficiency bonus you gain from these? Or is the +2 the proficiency bonus? (TL;DR, are these +2 to dmg or +4?)
The bracers give proficiency with longbows and shortbows. Having proficiency with a weapon allows you to add your proficiency bonus (which is determined by your level, starting at +2 in 1st level) to attack rolls (not damage). If you already have proficiency with the bows the bracers only give the damage bonus.
Is the damage produced shooting with a regular bow wearing this magic item considered magic damage?
Does the bonus to hit with these not stack with the archery fighting style? I have a fighter rouge that I have the archery style for and for some reason it’s still putting it at only +10 to hit, I am very confused by this when if I did this correctly it should be +12 to hit. TLDR, does this stack with Archery fighting style or am I just dumb?

There is NOT a to hit bonus gained from this item. There is only a +2 static bonus to damage. The +10 to hit should be the correct bonus. No idea of stats or levels, but it would only be DEX + Proficiency bonus + 2 from archery style.
The only way a character would get any bonus to hit would if they were not proficient with a longbow or shortbow and were then able to apply a proficiency bonus to hit.
Ooooooooo ok, ya I read it wrong thank you
it is only on damage.. these do not give any Attack/to hit bones.. only +damage
