While wearing these bracers, you have proficiency with the Longbow and Shortbow, and you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls made with such weapons.
Notes: Damage: Shortbow, Damage: Longbow, Proficiency: Shortbow, Proficiency: Longbow, Damage, Buff, Combat, Wristwear
Sweet
rip i could destroy if my rouge had these with his crossbows
It doesn't work with crossbows sadly
Anyone have specific stats on these at all? I'm a stickler for detail. Specifically looking for the weight of the item so no one can say my character is carrying to much.
no.
My level 20 human fighter now has a +16 to hit, 2d12+9 damage with these, the sharpshooter feat, and my homebrew 'Craterbow'.
Craterbow Legendary Artifact, +3 Longbow
Range: 150/600
ammunition (reinforced arrows)
Damage: 2d12
You must have a strength of 14 or higher to use this bow.
The Craterbow gets a critical hit on a 19 or a 20, if normal arrows are used with this bow, they snap when fired and do 1d4 -1 piercing to the user. Reinforced or unbreakable arrows must be used.
Reinforced arrow:
This heavy arrow is reinforced with iron, making it extremely powerful. When firing this arrow, your bow's short range gets -50, and your bow's long range gets -100. If you score a critical hit on a creature, it must make a DC 17 con saving throw or be stunned until it succeeds on the saving throw. It can reroll using a bonus action, legendary action, or action.
The Bracers only give +2 to damage, not your bonuses to hit. Have a Nice Day!
Only damage rolls, not attack rolls
no
play a wizard with a bow
Well, no they don't the +2 bonus is to damage only.
No these do not make the attacks magical, just as Bless and other buff spells do not make the attack magical.
So I play a gunslinger, and my DM let me have these but for firearms. It's basically a homebrew item called Bracers of Shootery that replaces all of the bows with guns. I'd say that I were DMing this and someone wanted to use this with a crossbow, they could, but it would only work for crossbows.
Apologies for the bump but this is what I wanna do with them for my gunslinger. You can go in and edit a copy of the item in the Beyond Homebrew editor and under modifier it has "damage - shortbow - 2" where it's the +2 to the shortbow damage. There's one for the longbow as well per the item but when I go to see about adding a firearm or even a crossbow to it, there's no option available. There's an option for "piercing" damage but it won't update the firearm or even the longbow when I add it in and remove the other modifiers. It's painful
with this + all my other stuff my level 5 character has +11 to hit and 1d8+2d6+15 damage. if i don't use sharpshooter it's +16 to hit and 1d8+2d6+5 damage. finally, if i modify my enchantments, it's +18 to hit and 1d8+15 damage. the rest of the small party struggles with combat so my dm is ok with it
edit: just realized it's damage rolls not attack roles, which is even better for me
