Traits
Magic Resistance. The hezrou has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Stench. Any creature that starts its turn within 10 feet of the hezrou must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the start of its next turn. On a successful saving throw, the creature is immune to the hezrou's stench for 24 hours.
Actions
Multiattack. The hezrou makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
A cool dude. 10/10 would make a spellcasting varient, buff its stats and wipe out my group of LV10s with it.
I think you are looking for a Glabrezu lol
I made Ascariel the Unanticipated, who is a demon featuring in my Greyhawk game. He has big adamantine claw/gauntlets and some spellcasting like a fog cloud that deals poison damage, and a misty step/thunder step that deals poison as well.
Oh, that’s pretty cool. Leaning into the poison toad theme.
Is this a monster that has featured in official modules?
There is a Gnoll looking version featured in Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, near the end of the module
Oh, that’s cool. I assume that is the influence of Yeenoghu.
Its nice that they added variants like that.
me and my friends that are at lvl 3 are fighting this
This is like a Troglodyte+
Basically all abilities and even the physical appearance are the same but tougher.
Made a version with wings for a demon-dragon campaign I'm running, this thing just looks awesome
Good luck
It's kinda sad that the comments aren't many here. I honestly thought they'd be pretty plentiful, given the stereotypical and very easily pluggable aspect that the stat block has.
I think it'd be cool to make variant with a long tongue that would deal acid damage when being grappled by said tongue. Idk it just looks like a frog demon XD
This thing looks like a Slaad. Prove me wrong.
Like a slaad?
Nope. Hezro would be Hez-ro...this is hezrou, so Hez-ru [or hez-roo if you're Auzzie]
Thank you Uncus. You are spot-on.

It's like a blue slaad but with 1 more AC, 13 more HP, -1 strength, +2 dex, +2 con, -2 int, +5 wis, +4 cha, -resistance to acid, +resistance to nonmagic weapons, +poison and poisoned immunity, twice the darkvision and telepathy, different language, stench instead of regen, has a 2d10 for its bite attack instead of 2d6, and doesn't infect you with chaos phage.
It's like ____, except with 18 things that are different!
