LOL
Owlbear
Cubs or chicks?
I'd say cubs because the structure of the word "owlbear" suggests to me that it's more of an owl-like bear than a bear-like owl. Also in Baldur's Gate 3 at least they're referred to as cubs.
if not friend, why friend shaped
I love how 95% of the comments, consistently over the past five years, are people insisting that they can and will make friends with owlbears.
I was looking this page up because my druid made friends with an owlbear last night. It had gotten its eyes gouged out by an as-yet-unseen bigger monster, though, so it was kind of an Androcles and the Lion situation where he trusted me because I healed him up
same
False, rules as written they are unaligned and thus can be nice, just not all of them are
Edit: why did it italicize that?
Edit: I can't turn off the italics!
HOOT HOOT

Nave the fallen aasimar druid's first transform in campaign was an owlbear :)
i love owlbears
Owlbears are fun. I like them.
So my party was walking along a river when we stumbled upon an owlbear drinking and we both startled each other, my team had won initiative but was taking forever to figure out what to do so in order to hurry things along my Tortle walked up to it holding a ration saying "Awww who's a fwuffy wittle baybee" fully expecting it to maul me but the DM rolled a nat 1 and now my team has an adorable Owlbear following us around who I keep feeding and its now our party mascot.
i have an owlbear follower his name is Whizztopher (like Christopher)
wow I am so going to use this when I DM my friend
IDK
he ugly wugly
If large monstrosity, unaligned, why friend shaped?
