Description
A monstrous cross between giant owl and bear, an owlbear’s reputation for ferocity and aggression makes it one of the most feared predators of the wild.
So CUTE!! I want them!
Don't we all?
Noice.
... BRO.
Deadly Ferocity. The owlbear’s reputation for ferocity, aggression, stubbornness, and sheer ill temper makes it one of the most feared predators of the wild. There is little, if anything, that a hungry owlbear fears. Even monsters that outmatch an owlbear in size and strength avoid tangling with it, for this creature cares nothing about a foe’s superior strength as it attacks without provocation.
EHOA
YESS PLEASE WOTC MAKKE THIS AMAZING SUGGESTION *replying to Nagog
My party captured an infant owlbear. Named it Bearowl, and now the dwarf is teaching it some... questionable things.
I am going to make a druid turn into an Owlbear (with homebrew) like Doric
I was DMing and the party encountered an owñbear but they were all at lvl1 so I just an owl bear the size of an owl instead of a bear lol
Says they are made by wizards… or they aren’t. But if they are, then well…
Just made a homebrew bearowl its a reverse owl bear it can fly too
I want an owlbear irl
Bozo
:)
speak with animals wouldn't work. :(
I would like that
I'm a druid and I frequently turn into an Owlbear.
jooy
For those who somehow still don't know: Owlbears are a type of monster classified as a Monstrosity, which means that they were created by magical means or otherwise don't belong to the natural world. Druids can exclusively turn into Beasts, which are just regular animals. Therefore, without homebrew (and a really benevolent DM), you cannot turn into an Owlbear, both by RAW (Rules As Written) and RAI (Rules As Intended). It's a cool thought, and I'm grateful to the DnD movie for introducing a buncha new people to DnD (and also overtaking Stranger things with that whole "new players don't know the rules and are annoying because they try to imitate what they saw" thing), but just read the rules for each class at the very least please. It saves us DMs a lot of time and makes you players a lot less mad when we cite the rules and you realize you can't do a fun thing because it's not RAW or RAI and it sets a really bad precedent.
