Savage Attacks. When Hoag scores a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, he can add 6 (1d12) to the extra damage of the critical hit.

Unarmored Defense. While not wearing any armor, Hoag’s Armor Class is 15 (included). He can use a shield and still gain this benefit (not included).

Description

Hailing from uncivilized lands far to the North, Hoag is an unpredictable berserker. His human blood gave him an edge over his neighboring full-blooded orc cousins. Hoag soon ventured into the world to prove his worth among humans and other more civilized races in the town of Threshold. While proving himself scrabbling to survive in the slums of Threshold, Hoag got by on the physical might and endurance inherited from his Orcish ancestry, and the sheer determination he got from his Human heritage.

Hoag may come from a humble social rank, but he is destined for so much more. Already some of the people of his adopted hometown of Threshold regard him as their champion. Hoag’s calling is to stand against any tyrants or monsters that threaten the common folk. Hoag previously pursued a simple profession among the peasantry as a woodcutter, his axe always keen and at the ready. But something happened that marked him for greater things. When his logging camp was attacked by a vicious Ankheg, Hoag stood alone against the terrible monster.
