Greetings Everyone!
We're happy to announce the Digital Dice Alpha is now live on the Character Sheet for subscribers only.
These digital dice will help you reduce the math you have to do when playing D&D. We encourage everyone to give them a roll and tell us how they feel!
If you'd like to turn off Dice rolling on the character sheet for any reason, you can click on your character dropdown and toggle the Digital Dice off.
As a thank you, you will also receive a free set of Old School dice that celebrates our roots. You can activate them by going to the My Dice page under "Collections" on the top nav.
If you'd like to learn more about how to use the dice or to give us feedback, visit our Digital Dice Feedback Forum.
Thanks all. Happy rolling!

Is there an option to roll with Advantage or Disadvantage? What about critical damage rolls?
This is really annoying, but at least it's easy to turn off. You should make it opt-in instead of opt-out. Clutters the screen and accidentally rolls while I'm reviewing character sheet. Probably good for some people, I suppose. Glad to see a few positive comments.
My real 'old-school' d4 die had the number on the bottom of the dice. On this one, the number is on the top.
Love what it does but I wish it would do it faster. Very slow and laggy for me.
EDIT: Solution found. Chrome browser Hardware Acceleration was off. After turning it on it works great
Works great so far. It would be handy to have this during the character creation phase for rolling ability scores
Are there any plans to add the dice to the character builder for manual ability score generation?
Also, it would be cool if it recognized that you roll a 20 on a to hit roll and makes the next damage roll double without the proficiency bonus.
Our DM is subscribed, and our party pitches in to buy extra content that we can all use when we join his campaign. Since we don’t all subscribe, can we access the Dice Roller when we are all playing our campaign?
To be clear, we buy content under his account, the same account that is subscribed.
Nice! works great for me, looks good.
My initial feedback is that myself and my group often roll attacks and damage at the same time. I'd love to see that feature added, because right now it takes a while before the pop-up with the math appears - it takes longer than if I roll do the math in my head myself - and it's even longer to wait for the damage because I can't click the damage roll until the attack roll is finished.
I'd love the option remove the 3d dice, especially if it meant the totals would appear immediately.
[Edit] Oh, and some positive feedback - I like the UI to roll ad-hoc dice in the bottom left. Could be a little faster (response is a bit slow) but it's one of the better ones I've seen. I would love to be able to save 2 or 3 presets of dice I roll often but for whatever reason isn't reflected properly when rolling form the sheet (like lets say I cast hunters mark and want to add a d6 to my damage rolls, I could make a preset that has my bow+hunter's mark damage ready to go.)
Looking forward to using it!
Hey the 3d dice is kind of laggy are there any plans for allowing people to roll without the 3d dice and only get the result?
When a roll is specified to have advantage or disadvantage, does it factor probability into the roll or are you required to roll two d20s manually?
If my players are using Digital Dice in my campaign will I be able to see them?
Will this be available to non subscribers soon?
This would be awesome!
You can also use the dice rolling icon (for me that's in the lower left of the page) to roll 2D20. It doesn't do the math, but ....
The addition of the 3D dice is cool but at this point a little bit of a gimmick. If this is incorporated into a comprehensive combat/encounter tracker where the player(s) and the DM can see the values rolled, I can see it having much more utility.
Add to that a VTT......
I love the look of what it will be, I understand it's a work in progress. Here's the list of my initial impressions (I don't see a feedback link like there was for encounter builder when it was testing):
+ Easy to use, like that it sums up value right on screen
+ Fun to have different dice sets available (PLEASE make many color options FREE!!!)
- SLOW. Should have a setting to just give the total if I get sick of watching the animation process.
- SLOW. I can't rapid-click an event, such as a to-hit d20 if I have advantage.
- dead zone around the results bar... now I can't click my damage roll since the previous die roll result is in the way.
* I understand default is for dice rolling ON so people see it immediately, but I would prefer the default OFF once it goes live. The boxes are big and ugly. I accidentally hit them as I scroll on my screen.
Thanks for keeping on with updates! It makes it fun!
Is there a plan to enable short rest hit dice use to the dice roller when it completes the rest or let each dice roll when you tick the box? in addition is there talk of adding a bardic inspiration toggle box somewhere? it would be nice feature that could let you set the dice when you check the inspiration box and when you uncheck the box it roll the dice.
Yes Jack, you can totally share this with the party. Enjoy!
Minor complaint: I don't love that it makes the numbers on the character sheet light blue. Is there a way to change that back to black/dark gray? Maybe there could be another, more subtle way of styling numbers that are able be rolled?
Otherwise I love it and can't wait for additional developments & improvements. Our group is excited to finally have this feature! Thanks and great job!
Edit: Also, is there a way to see a roll history? If not, that would be another useful feature.
