Honestly, I think the Player's Handbook should have been free, or at least a choice between DMG, PHB, and MM, while the other two need to be paid for. But I think it's still unfair that most of the content is locked behind a paywall. This is the D&D website, after all, so why not have all the resources free?
Cause its a company. As in $$$ is what they think.
Chi compra una copia fisica dovrebbe essere in grado di poter sbloccare una copia digitale con una piccola quota, piuttosto che pagare l'intera cifra
@ZyroHeckleson12...How do you think they make money?
I don't understand a special 1 day sale. Here is this 1 week sale, but there will be better deals on one day of it. Why buy before then?
seems like ever since wotc took over ddb they always have the same select items on sale... I remember a time when ddb had a sale and everything was on sale. its sad that those days are gone.
I am so confused on this as well is cyber Monday them just adding Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants, and Keys from the Golden Vault or will it be a deeper discount on top of what's currently going on. I wanna buy some things but I guess I just won't until I hopefully remember to check back in Monday.
I agree with you on how uncomfortable it is to make a purchase, right now. Other posts even said that some items were marked down for the week, then marked down even more on Monday. Unless dndbeyond helps us with some information, it feels like, if I buy the Legendary Bundle now, I will pay more than if I buy just wait until Monday. Feels like, "ha ha. I got you to pay hundreds of dollars more than you had to."
Please, just tell us what is the Cyber Monday sale. Or even better, make all the same sales all week, and make it a big sale too!
Happy Holidays!
The discount is trash. What the hell? this is the time of year I spend money on dnd beyond, but not this year. Previous years digital books were $20, this year there's still books for $50
What a joke
yeah this is an absolute garbage fire.
There is literally not a single book I don't already own that is on "sale". Every book released since last november is at full price. WOTC don't want my money it would seem
Remember when you used to be able to get these discounts with the Legendary Bundle?
That's one of the reasons I got it – to get everything and then add on anything new that comes out.
With the way promotions work now, it doesn't make sense to get Legendary. Just buy every book ad hoc when it's 40% off.
So tired of seeing all resources poured into this new map VTT BS instead of improving the site.
Still can't put buffs on characters easily, still can't use Artificer infusions smoothly, still can't have multiple DM's in a campaign, still can't roll dice from Extras, still can't homebrew half the things you would want and can't affect multiple things on the sheet something as simple as spell slots comes to mind. The Custom backgrounds don't add their bonuses half the time.
I really don't understand WotC anymore. Why have a week-long (dumpster trash) Black Friday sale that's considerably worse than their "Back to School" sale that was extended from August to September, and when "more exclusive deals roll in" on ONLY ONE of those days? It completely defeats the purpose of having a week-long sale to begin with. You're not building anticipation at this point, you're just generating FOMO for the laughs and giggles.
Also, any particular reason the discounts are no longer being applied to the bundles? There's literally 0 incentive for bundling the books together when it's now cheaper to get all the books individually.
As dnd becomes more like the video game they envision, I am sure WotC will designate folks to officially read and respond to the posts we are making here. That is what video game companies do, so I suppose we would have the same with this chat board. If you are reading this dndbeyond wizards, please write back with your magic customer service skills and dispel our confusion.
Last year they did make a dnd video game and then a movie I mean why can’t it just be a table top Role playing game? I wonder what will be next maybe a par of dnd shoes
@ZyroHeckleson12: PHB, DMG and MM are all 40% off, so if you buy all three now, you pay less than in a 'buy 2, get 1 free deal'
ikr
Damn look like i have to miss this sale for sure orz is anyone know about kinda of deal sale again upcoming in December?
Simple, they haven’t profited enough yet.
Because they want to sell you the resources.
Theres a lot of stuff wotc does that i complain about, but wanting to *sell their product* isnt one of them
