More Dice for Everyone

To celebrate this launch and to make sure that you have something fun to roll the moment you jump in, every account gets a bag of digital dice added to your 3D Digital Dice collection. They’re ready right now for your next Initiative roll, clutch saving throw, or casting of Fireball.
The new collection, available for everyone, includes:
- Rime of the Frostmaiden
- Battle for Beyond Dice Pack
- Fuzzy Dice
- Dice of Healing
- Bigby’s Hand
Shared Dice Everywhere

When you make a daring move on the battlefield, sneak past a monster while exploring, or roll the perfect Persuasion check while playing on the Maps VTT, everyone should experience the moment of anticipation together. Now you can!
Whether you're rolling on your Character Sheet or on Maps, your party can now see the same 3D roll in real time on whatever D&D Beyond tab they're focused on—no more switching tabs or having to dig into the Game Log to reveal the results.

Got feedback or want to show off your most epic moments with shared dice on the Maps VTT? Post them in Discord or on /r/dndbeyond! We’re also running contests on both these channels where winners get more digital dice to use across D&D Beyond's digital toolset!

Posted Mar 7, 2026Not exactly; I want to turn off seeing anyone else's rolls. Ever. Without having to turn it off each time. I want the default for me to be not seeing the dice.

Posted Mar 15, 2026I don't mind the Dice for Everyone, but I do mind the system rolling every die twice even if Advantage or Disadvantage are not called for. It confuses my players because there's no clear indication of which die was "the first", and to add insult to injury, the system is doubling all the damage dice as well, which should never happen unless someone landed a critical hit—and even then, that behavior should be toggle-able since it doesn't jive with a very common house rule.

Posted Mar 15, 2026What do you do when someone lands a crit? I double the damage dice and the modifier, but I know many other DMs don't double the modifier

Posted Mar 15, 2026Raw its just double the dice
Then there's two popular homebrew methods Double Damage and Perfect Crits.
Double Damage - You roll your attack as normal and just double the damage rolled
Perfect Crit - You roll your attack as normal and add the maximum possible roll to it

Posted Mar 22, 2026I like the look of the red potion dice. The Bigby's Hand one is VERY distracting with a whole bunch of hands coming out of nowhere to grab dice!
