Happy March!
Thank you for all the comments and feedback on my first post about our strategy and Q1 Partnered Content Roadmap. I have read all the comments, and it’s been helpful as we continue to evaluate and select new collaborations for the future.
Though it's not quite Q2 yet, D&D has released its 2026 Roadmap, so I want to get a head start talking about our next set of partnered content releases on D&D Beyond!
- Dr Dhrolin’s Dictionary of Dinosaurs (5.5e) — April
- Tom Cartos Sticker Packs — April
- Northlands Worldbook, Northlands Sagas (5.5e) — May
Q2 2026 Partnered Content Roadmap
![]() Dr Dhrolin’s Dictionary of Dinosaurs (5.5e) — AprilCreated by real palaeontologists who turned their passion and expertise into playable content, with every creature grounded in real science. Updated for 5.5E, this release packs in paleontology-themed adventures and accessible scientific info, plus new player options, plot hooks, and plenty of dino-fueled fun. *Note, that the Artificer subclass is rewritten as a Fighter in this release |
![]() Tom Cartos Sticker Packs — AprilUsing our Maps VTT will be even easier with 4 new sticker packs from the incredible Tom Cartos! From tombs and traps to transport and travel, we have stickers ready for you to build your own stories and campaigns with! |
![]() Northlands Worldbook, Northlands Sagas (5.5e) — MayWe are bringing both epic books from the recent Kickstarter to D&D Beyond! Nordic adventure and player options bring a chilly flavor of play to your table. Between the two books, there are 8 new subclasses, Asgardian adventures, new villains, and Norse patrons. Be smart—don’t argue with Thor! |
*This roadmap is subject to change.
Q1 Partnered Content
Want to see what partnered content is still on the docket for Q1? Check out our previously released partnered content release schedule, featuring releases from Griffon's Saddlebag and Loot Tavern:
I hope you all are excited about what’s up next and keep the comments coming!

Posted Mar 3, 2026Is it significant that this is the first instance (in any case for me) that this edition is referred to as 5.5e?

Posted Mar 3, 2026“Note, that the Artificer subclass is rewritten as a Fighter in this release”? Bruh. Really? Come on.
Other than that, I was a huge dinosaur nerd as a kid and still am to some degree, so I’m looking forward to Dr Dhrolin’s Dictionary of Dinosaurs. It sounds fun and it should be interesting.

Posted Mar 3, 2026Oh they're changing the Bone Sculptor Artificer from Dr. Dhrolin's to an Fighter Subclass? I guess that makes some sense since the subclass technically is considered an Artificer COMPATIBLE subclass to get around WotC's publishing rules which is why I never thought it would come to dndbeyond lol
I wonder if this means all the player options in the book are being updated because if that is so then we may get a better product out of it since the player options were definitely the weakest part of the book.

LMAO, Artificer being the black sheep of official subclasses will never be not funny.

Posted Mar 3, 2026Whoever decided to change the Artificer subclass to a fighter one, I urge you to reconsider. This is a terrible decision. No reason to shaft Artificer. it needs more third party content.
I will only buy this cool sounding Dinosaur book if has the Artificer subclass.

Posted Mar 3, 2026Although we all love the Artificer and want more subclasses for it, that isn't going to happen in this case. You can still buy the original 5e book from PalaeoGames' website if that's all your interested in.

Posted Mar 3, 2026My question is, if ya'll are specifying 5.5e for the books, then does that mean we are also going to get the same books for 5e or there are going to be releases that are 5e like Heliana's guide to the Hunt part 2? Will we also be able to have griffins saddle bag vol 1 for 5e too? Cuz many of the books announce here and Q1 have 5e versions since they where made before 5.5e so it should be possible to also have those right?

Posted Mar 3, 2026It was to comply with WotC's requirements for Partnership. You can still buy the original PDF and physical book with the Artificer Subclass intact.

Posted Mar 3, 2026My inner 12 year old could not be any happier with more dinosaurs and Norse content. 10/10 for the third party creators, and a slight 'woo' for DBD. It may be upgraded to a more impressive 'Woo' with more good decisions.

Posted Mar 3, 2026With DDB getting an engine upgrade and WotC warming up to third party content, any chance we'll see a D&D x Warcraft collaboration? Or Borderlands? Will D&D become the UE5 of TTRPGs for IPs interested in approaching the demographic?

Wow, even you guys are sandbagging the Artificer class too. This is an incredibly stupid decision. The Fighter is drowning with 3rd party subclass options while the Artificer is starving for ANY subclass option right now.
