Eight Subclasses Steeped in the Arcane
Arcana Unleashed adds 8 subclasses for spellcasters and martials alike. Draw power from a dying god as a Vestige Patron Warlock, lace every blow with magic as a Warrior of the Mystic Arts Monk, or weave spells into your shots as an Arcane Archer Fighter.
Rounding out the roster are the Arcana Domain Cleric and four Wizard subclases that specialize in particular Schools of Magic—Conjurer, Enchanter, Necromancer, and Transmuter.
SWATCHES STUDIO
Nine Factions and a Society Run on Magic
Arcana Unleashed introduces 9 arcane factions, each with its own leadership, renown rewards, bastion facilities, member benefits, and rivalries. Chart the multiverse with the Conjuration-focused Horizon Weavers, trade in secrets with the Enchantment-focused Bejeweled Conclave, dissect death alongside the Necromancy-focused Covenant of the Grave, or steal dangerous knowledge with the shadowy Ninth Quill.
The book also adds 10 backgrounds, most of which are tied to a faction, so you can shape your character's story by embroiling them in the rivalries and alliances of arcane politics.

To put all your magical miscellany into play right away, Arcana Unleashed contains Tomb of the Shadow Serpents, a level 1 adventure built as a one- to two-session jumping-off point.
Put everything you've mastered to the ultimate test in Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall, a magical spy thriller for high-level play. Deep in the Forgotten Realms, the tyrannical lich Szass Tam of Thay is poised to unleash a demonic undead horde upon the world.
Full level 11–20 adventure, including 20+ dedicated maps
Thay gazetteer detailing the fractured magocracy and its scheming Zulkirs
6 high-CR creatures, including a stat block for Szass Tam and advice on how to play him
Set the stage for spell-slinging duels and faction-driven conflict with the physical and digital Arcana Unleashed Map Pack, which spans towering wizard academies, ritual chambers, arcane citadels, and war-torn magical provinces across 10 tactical maps.

The Arcana Unleashed Ultimate Bundle is $129.99, and you save $34.95 over buying the pieces separately.

How Will You Manifest Arcane Might?
Whether you're building a spellcaster worthy of legend or leading a party of agents into the heart of Thay, Arcana Unleashed hands you a world where magic is yours to weave into whatever story you want to tell.
Will you build a rich world of warring magical factions? Explore ancient civilizations that collapsed under their own arcane might? Or introduce new and confounding magic to a world that hasn't seen its kind before? The choice is yours!
I wonder about how many sessions the level 11-20 adventure is estimated to take. It says 20 maps (ok, maybe a few more since it says 20+ but still) which is not a real lot really for 10 levels of adventuring. Unless they are leveling up very often and the adventure is fairly short.
this is great i'm so thrilled but i was hoping that the adventure wood be somthing lika lvl1-6 lost mine of phandelvera proper adventure not the adventure guide we have gotten
Am I the only one that thinks, that looking at this, that majority of it is just re worked old content from 5.0?
We're almost 2 full years in and we haven't gotten a solid "NEW" book for 5.5(2024) yet. It has all be re works of everything already released, with a few additions.
No new settings, or adventure modules.
Look, Ravenloft re work was nice, dont get me wrong. But are we ever going to get new non re treaded content for 5.5?

You're not the only one. I'm a big fan of VRGtR, so for me Horrors Within was disappointing because it felt largely redundant. Instead of spreading it out, I really wish they packed all the leftover revisions into one big book, almost like Monsters of the Multiverse. It would have allowed them to move past repackaged material and clear the way for actual new content.
Is it correct there is no Digital Bundle version? Doesn't seem correct.I'm living in the EU so I would need to get the physical book somewhere else, but still want the digital product here. Would be nice if there were a Digital Bundle to purchase.
Having specialist Archmages is interesting: wonder how much stronger they'll be than the default Archmage, or whether they're meant to be roughly similar in power with just the spells and other abilities switched around to match their respective themes. It'll also be interesting to see how Deadfall plays, seeing as we haven't yet gotten a book-length campaign module for 5.5e specifically, even if it is a bit trimmed down in the page length compared to previous 5e outings.

Posted Jul 8, 2026The maps in the map pack look pretty light and bright for what sounds like should be a darker adventure. This will probably create a clash of tones.

Posted Jul 8, 2026If they do, it'll be near identical to the updated Unearthed Arcana. Might as well start using that. The only limit would be you can't use in on DDB.
