You pull wisps of shadow material from the Shadowfell to create a nonliving object of vegetable matter within range: soft goods, rope, wood, or something similar. You can also use this spell to create mineral objects such as stone, crystal, or metal. The object created must be no larger than a 5-foot cube, and the object must be of a form and material that you have seen before.
The duration depends on the object's material. If the object is composed of multiple materials, use the shortest duration.

Using any material created by this spell as another spell's material component causes that spell to fail.

Posted Jun 15, 2025Anyone coming here from BG3 who installed the GENIE subclass mod for WARLOCK, YES, you can DUPLICATE any fancy item in the game MULTIPLE times, and the items PERSIST through long rest. Give all of your character anti-crit shields, chestpieces or helms. Same with Light of Lathander, Silver Sword of the Astral Plain, Knife of the Undermountain King, Devotee's Mace, Spellsparkler, Necklace of Elemental Augmentation, EVERYTHING.
Break your game as you see fit, if that pleases you. :)

Hmmm, I get my fellow wizard to cast, hold person, or hold monster, I then proceed to drop a 5x5x5 cube of platinum on the big bad. For your information, that is a 168,750 pounds dropping at 30 mph (roughly five million pounds of force), actually, you know what? I'm an Aarakocra, I fly 600 ft up before we encounter said big bad, and now that is 168,750 pounds dropping at 137 mph (105 MILLION POUND OF FORCE). I'd like to see a big bad stand up from that. I can also go higher, let's say the DM, doesn't really care and let's me go 194,000 feet into the air, you know how fast it would go? 1579 miles an hour, hmmm, you know how much force that is? THAT'S 14 BILLION POUND OF FORCE within a crater that is 70 ft in radius!
