Base Class: Paladin
Paladins who take up an Oath of Silence have seen the worst that the world has to offer. These Paladins try to be the lending hand when all hope is lost, whether that's by overthrowing a tyrannical dictator, share their wealth amongst those who need it most, or even give a shoulder for someone to cry on. These Paladins despise those who exert their strength over another, and protect those who are seen as innocent and fragile.
Some Paladins take their oaths a step further, forbidding themselves from ever speaking, so they may never use their words in a way that might harm another person.
These Paladins share the following tenets:
- Rebuke those who use their words to control or harm others
- Let your actions speak louder than words
- Amongst the storm of chaos, bring tranquility to those in need
Level 3: Oath of Silence Spells
The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Silence Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Level 3: Silent Knight
As part of your tenets, you have mastered the ability to conjure your divine powers under the guise of silence.
When you cast a Paladin spell, you can cast it without any Verbal components. In addition, any armor you have equipped no longer imposes disadvantage on your Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
Level 3: Suppressing Smite
As a bonus action, immediately after you hit a creature with a Melee weapon or an Unarmed Strike, you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to deal an additional 2d6 force damage, and the target has the Deafened condition for one minute. During that duration, the target cannot make any verbal noise, and cannot cast spells that require Verbal components to cast.
This Channel Divinity deals an additional 1d6 force damage at 5th (3d6), 9th (4d6), 13th (5d6), and 17th (6d6) level.
Level 7: Aura of Stillness
You and your allies have resistance to Thunder damage while in your Aura of Protection. In addition, each creature within your aura has Advantage on all Dexterity (Stealth) checks that rely on sound, and any creature has disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on sound to locate anyone within the aura.
Bringer of Tranquility
Whenever a creature within your Aura of Stillness is hit with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to shroud the creature in divine energy, granting resistance to the incoming damage.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1), and you regain all uses on a long rest.
Warrior of the Voiceless
Your mastery over silence has allowed you to become truly imperceptible. As a Bonus Action, you gain the benefits below for 10 minutes or until you end them (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5 spell slot (no action required).
Invisibility. You gain the Invisible condition.
Utter Silence. You can no longer create any sound, and any creature automatically fails any ability check to sense you.
Ambush. All attack rolls you succeed on are automatically critical hits.
