Monk
Base Class: Monk

Stand As Two Souls

Warriors of the Bound Soul bind their life force to a spirit that fights at their side. These Monks are physically diminished by the bond, but the spirit manifests as a powerful guardian that strikes, protects, and suffers in their place.

Level 3: Bound Soul

As a Bonus Action, you can manifest Mira in an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet of yourself. Mira uses the Mira (1st Form) stat block and remains for 10 minutes, until she is reduced to 0 Hit Points, until you dismiss her as a Bonus Action, or until she vanishes as described in her stat block. Once you manifest Mira, you can’t do so again until you finish a Long Rest, unless you expend 1 Focus Point to manifest her again.

When you take the Attack action or use Flurry of Blows, any Unarmed Strike you make can originate from you or Mira, provided the target is within the attacker’s reach. An Unarmed Strike that originates from Mira uses your Martial Arts attack modifier and deals Bludgeoning or Slashing damage, your choice.

Mira retains her current Hit Points when she vanishes, unless she was reduced to 0 Hit Points. If she remains unmanifested for at least 1 minute, she regains all her Hit Points. If she is reduced to 0 Hit Points, you can’t manifest her again until you finish a Short or Long Rest. Mira shares your Initiative count, taking her turn immediately after yours. She has her own movement, space, Hit Points, and Reaction. On her turn, she can move and take the Dodge action, or you can use a Bonus Action on your turn to command her to take one action from her stat block.

When you gain this feature, your Constitution score decreases by 6, to a minimum of 3.

Level 6: Awakened Bond

Mira’s manifestation grows stronger, and the bond between your souls deepens. Mira now uses the Mira (2nd Form) stat block. When you reach 9th level in this class, she uses the Mira (3rd Form) stat block.

While Mira is manifested, you have Advantage on saving throws against the Charmed and Frightened conditions while you are within 5 feet of her.

Level 11: Greater Manifestation

Mira’s form becomes more complete, and your souls move with greater unity. Mira now uses the Mira (4th Form) stat block. When you reach 14th level in this class, she uses the Mira (5th Form) stat block.

Once on each of your turns, when you take the Attack action and make at least one Unarmed Strike from your own space, you can command Mira to make one Rending Strike or Crushing Strike as part of the same action. You don’t need to use a Bonus Action to command this attack.

True Manifestation

Mira’s true form awakens, and the boundary between your soul and hers begins to break. Mira now uses the Mira (6th Form) stat block.

When you manifest Mira, or as a Bonus Action while she is already manifested, you can expend 5 Focus Points to unleash her true manifestation for 1 minute. For the duration, Mira is no longer limited to taking the Dodge action unless commanded. On each of her turns, she can take one action from her stat block without requiring your Bonus Action, but you can’t command her to attack with your Greater Manifestation feature.

Once you unleash Mira’s true manifestation, you can’t do so again until you finish a Long Rest, unless you expend 5 Focus Points to use it again.
