Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of the Circle of Life are often viewed as having things backward. These druids are animals more often than they are human. Whether they are like this because they simply got used to being an animal or because they were one to begin with is up to you.

Forgotten Humanity

At 2nd level, choose a beast of CR 1 or lower. You are permanently wild shaped into this beast, following the usual Wild Shape rules, except the ones altered below. When you use wild shape, you may use it to turn into other beasts, or back into your humanoid form for the usual duration.

You know and can speak any languages you would normally be able to, even if your beast form is not normally equipped for such speech.

You can cast spells while in this form. You can have and use normal equipment, and do things requiring hands, though at the DM’s discretion, particularly delicate actions –such as picking locks- may impose disadvantage or even be beyond your grasp.

Bonus Spells

Your time as an animal has given you a special connection and understanding of the essence of life. You gain the following spells at the appropriate levels.

Circle of Life Spells

Druid Level Spells
2nd Bless, Cure Wounds
3rd Lesser Restoration, Spiritual Weapon
5th Beacon of Hope, Revivify
7th Death Ward, Guardian of Faith
9th Mass Cure Wounds, Raise Dead

Magic Claws

Starting at 6th level, your attacks count as magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Your natural weapons (if you have any) and primary unnatural weapon deal 1d6 damage unless they already deal more from another source. This becomes 1d8 at 11th level, and 1d10 at 17th.

Additionally, if you had disadvantage or the inability to perform dexterous acts before, you now can perform them as normal.

Healing Paws

Your mystical touch can heal wounds. Starting at 10th level, you have a pool of magical healing power that replenishes when you take a long rest. With that pool, you can restore a total number of hit points equal to your druid level X 5.

As an action, you can touch a creature and draw power from the pool to restore a number of hit points to that creature, up to the maximum amount remaining in the pool. Instead of healing the creature, you can expend 5 hit points from your pool of healing to cure the target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting it. You can cure multiple diseases and neutralize multiple poisons with a single use of Healing Paws, expending hit points separately for each one. You may expend 20 points from this pool to bring a dead creature back to life as if via the Reincarnate spell.

Life’s Cycle

Starting at 14th level, when you drop to 0 hit points and don’t die outright, you may choose to forgo your death saving throws, instead willingly dying and being reincarnated. When you do so, you may choose to use any creature of a CR equal to ½ your druid level as your new beast form. This ability can be use once per long rest.
