I just found the new Adamantine Armor entry in the items listing and I really like it. It comes up when I seach for an applicable armor type, it does not clutter the list view, it shows the necessary information, and (most importantly) it shows the base armor AC.
Now we need the entries "Mithral Armor", "Armor, +1", "Armor, +2", "Armor, +3", each with applicable armor types, and "Armor of Resistance" with applicable resistances and armor types. After that, we need similar groupings for weapons. That would really clean up that item list.
Anyway, good job so far!
Yes, we're rolling out the groupings this week across the board - all of them will be in soon.
Hi. First of all, thank you for working on this! This is much better than the previous system. That said, I was hoping/expecting that expanding Adamantine Armor would give a list of the different types of adamantine armor that could be chosen for in tree fashion, and that, say, searching for "Adamantine Plate" would return Adamantine Armor with just "Adamantine Half Plate Armor" and "Adamantine Plate Armor" under it. With either of those two being possible items that might show up on a character sheet, but not the generic "Adamantine Armor". Or searching for just "Plate" would return "Adamantine Armor" with those two under it; "Mithral Plate Armor" with its plate subtypes; "Dragonscale Armor" with its plate subtypes; +1, +2, and +3 with their plate subtypes; as well as Dwarven Plate and Plate Armor of Etherealness. Although on second thought, then we would need things like +1 Adamantine Half Plate Rmor and +2 Dwarven Blue Dragonscale Plate Armor. So maybe it is best to think of these as item qualities that may be applied to specific types of armor.
So, I could live with the current set up under items as long as the specific item can be added to the character sheet (with a reference to the general one).
For the Adamantine Armor specifically, I like the way the Applicable Armor is shown on the details page. Could it please be shown on the expanded list entry page as well so that Adamantine armor might show up if you search for "Plate"? Or would others rather that it didn't? Would it be better if a search for Plate just brought up "Plate Armor" and "Half Plate Armor", and Adamantine and all of the other materials and enhancements be listed as possible types/modifications in the details for those two types of armor? (I think now I am leaning toward the latter.)

This is exactly how adding items to your character sheet will work, and why we created all the individual variants of the types. There are all still in the database, just not exposed in the listing anymore.

During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available in the D&D 5th edition SRD and D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.
The summary says varies on rarity for both sets of items but rarity is omitted in the full description. It does appear for Belt of Giant Strength though.
Having seen some of the Adamantine Armor thread I suspect that each item will get a listing in due course, however rarity in the full desc. would help users now & give developers a quick reference for later if the format is to be revised.
Also noticed that Giant Fly has a full listing under Ebony Fly. I assume Giant Fly isn't part of SRD but Ebony Fly is. It might be nice (& easier in the long run) to get the drop menus uniform & include Giant Fly as a monster (it will have to be added at some point anyway...)

Sorry if these are already flagged for attention.
Yes, we are working through these - both the items you mention are updated now.
As for the Giant Fly statistics, that's actually what the DMG uses to represent the figurine when it is "active," so it's supposed to be there.
While I can see that the community enjoys the items list for sorting magical items, is it going to be implemented that non-magical items are on the list? The compendium makes it easy to find items and their values and properties, but I feel like it would be faster and easier if a DM or player could just search for an item and get an immediate answer.
This may have been already reported or it may be intentional, but the font on Mithral Armor is different than that of other items. I was wondering if it was because it wasn't enchanted, but Adamantine Armor uses the same font all the enchanted items use.
I know, I know: this breaks the game. From now on, we can only play Risk.

Nazim, this is fixed now. Thanks!
Don't I get a medal or something? Or at least cake?

Under Wonderous Items, the Horn of Valhalla lists the general item name as all horn types, rather than silver, brass, etc. They all hyperlink back to the page you are actually on.
Am really impressed with the look and feel of the magic items section. Must be a real b... *challenge* to standardise the listings to allow filters and searches when the original materials vary in their format to start with. It really is looking good, keep up the good work.

I would like the option to sort magic items by rarity. For example, uncommon first, then rare, and so on.

Figurines of Wonderous Power & Ioun Stones.
Noticed a couple of oddities here.

A search function will be in the compendium and I'm pretty sure item descriptions and such will be included in the character generator.

It would be great to be able to sort by rarity
You can! :)

not searching by rarity but sorting by it ,organising the searched for items from least to most rare
