Technically, the race trait spells are not "known" spells for your class spellcasting ability. The "spell" section on the character sheet is for your class spellcasting ability only.
The thing with racial "spells" is that they're more akin to the "spell-like abilities" from 3.5 edition of D&D. So they wouldn't be lumped in with your other spells that you had to learn. They're just special abilities that your race is capable of doing.
It would still be nice if they showed up on the character sheet somewhere, especially when you use the magic initiate feat. Most people are just doing to write the spells in by hand after they print the sheet out. Adding to the spells area doesn't hurt anything, and makes a lot of sense.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
With the inclusion of the racial feats in Xanathar's, which also allow you to LEARN the spell, not just cast it 1/day as a spell-like ability, this should be fixed. I'm trying to create a homebrew race that has a feature that works like the racial feats, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do so.

The full revamp of the character sheet will totally sort this - there's currently no point in the dev team going back and changing the current character sheet, as it will be going away soon. :)
Oh? This is the first I've heard of a character sheet revamp. Where can I go for more details?
When the character sheet revamp rolls out, will I/my players have to rebuild their characters, or will the system automatically generate a new character sheet using the revamped version?
There is no deadline but was mentioned the expect it to be done by end of "Quarter 2" which means the 2nd quarter of the year, which would be end of this month. So, while nothing is set or official, the expectation is this month.

I have a Devil's Tongue Tiefling, which at 1st level grants the Vicious Mockery cantrip.
That spell isn't showing up in my list of known spells, and I can't add it because I've already added all the other spells I would know at that level.

You won't need to rebuild the characters.
Has a timeline been communicated for the revamp?
