I tried to fiddle with those customisation options a bit further and, yes, it seems I have to manually enter 'a blank space' into the value window (i.e. delete the number) so that the weapon looses the 'customised' tag and goes back to its previous state.
It is just that the up and down buttons used to increase or decrease to hit or damage bonus do not let you do that, between values of +1 and -1 they set value to 0, which the character builder interpretes as something different to 'nothingness' :-) Maybe a small 'reset' button there would come in handy?
Other than that the changes look great, although I thought the current idea was to get rid of collapsibles? Perhaps I understood last developer stream incorrectly...

I really like the recent changes to the equipment section. I'm perfectly content with the Starting Equipment section. But if I select Gold instead, it simply adds the gold to my purse no matter how much equipment I add afterward.
Would it be possible, when a player selects Gold, to have the builder deduct money from the character's coffers when he or she first acquires equipment?

what if you buy stuff from a marchant that sell at different prices ? i guess its better just calculate it yourself and remove the gold

Collapsibles will be removed during the full revamp, which is still pending.

No, not what you buy in Ye Olde Shoppe. I was referring to the equipment gained at character creation, using the Wealth by Class table in chapter 5 of the PHB. If deducting gold automatically while you purchase isn't not an option, I'd just as soon delete the Gold option from the character builder, since it doesn't serve a purpose.

I'm certain this has already been voiced, but I would really like the ability to make a character sheet publicly viewable without an account in order to facilitate groups that aren't running the entire campaign on D&D Beyond.
Also, including the sourcebook for things like spells would be ace.

I fixed that for you. :)

Okay, now you've made me curious. What utility does it have to you? I look at it and I'm like, okay it adds money to my Currency page. But that's something I could do manually with about as much time and effort. Am I missing something? I really do want to know.
I'm also curious, because I'm still trying to find a way to get the number hard-coded in my gold section to go away. My character starts with gold from their background, and if I try to zero it out because I'm printing up the character sheet for later and want to write in that box, it leaves a big fat "0" behind that I can't get rid of and have to cross out.

Anyone having difficulty removing a class when building a character? On PC it works just fine, but on Android I cannot click on the X to remove the class. Anyone else deal with this?

I don't have an immediate fix for this one, but just wanted to let ya know, I'm thinking about how to deal with this. Because even if I remove the number in the PDF if it is 0 for a currency, this would also seem to be a problem for people with currency and want to change it at the table. Thanks for the feedback!

Maybe have it so if currency is 0 on the digital sheet, have it translate over as a null value when going to the PDF?
Starting equipment bug: You get 10 stacks of 10 parchments (so 100 total), instead of 1 stack of 10 = 10.
"Little Bag of Sand" should probably also go to "other Possessions".
Which class/background are you looking at currently that grants you 10 parchments?
As far as "little bag of sand", everything contained within an equipment pack will have a "real" item associated with it. As of right now, real items all appear similarly in equipment, and in our current sheet, all items appear with the same amount of prominence. We will keep reviewing feedback and see if there are ways certain items can be "less prominent" in the future. The character sheet revamp will likely address some of your concerns :).

Yea, that was the path I was initially going to take, but then I thought about the other use-case. What if someone had 100 gold and went to print off their sheet. During the course of playing they want to change the gold amount, you can't just erase the printed value of 100 and put in a new value in the same place.
We try to not send any "current state" things to the PDF when we print so you can easily change values at the table. This includes things like hit points and spell slot usage. This might just be one of those, but there might be some more creative things we can do.

Yeah, my issue is that all of the coin spots are blank except for gold (the one I use the most at the table). And so when I try to remove the number from that slot, so I can write in the fluctuations as they happen, I get stuck with a "0" that eats up a lot of space in that box, preventing me from clearly writing my actual gold totals.

Having the character's available money on the character sheet is just as handy as having the number of rations or torches. Also there is nothing that character builder does that can not be done by hand, as a matter of fact people have been doing just that for decades.
The real point is just because a few people don't want or need a feature does not mean that is should just be done away with.

Let the record show that my recommendation was to give the Gold option more utility. My suggesting it should be done away with was more a rhetorical flourish.
In short, I think it could be improved. There must be a way to code the following:
"Alternatively, you can start with a number of gold pieces based on your class and spend them on items from the lists in this section. See the Starting Wealth by Class table to determine how much gold you have to spend" (Basic Rules, emphasis added).
Thanks for the response!

Suggestion: When you choose skills it would be nice if it showed which ability score each of them uses.
