I'm just coming back to D&D after last playing in the early 90s with 2nd Edition, so having all of this stuff online is absolutely amazing, thank you!
In searching the site and creating a character, I could only find height, weight, and age tables for the most basic races. Is there a way to incorporate the info for all races into the character builder? I'd love to be able to randomly generate this as I build the character.

Also, are there going to be more elements added to the campaign creation section? As is there's really nothing there. No place for NPCs, maps, story arcs, side adventures, dungeon building, monster organizing, etc.
One thing I'm finding consistently is that I don't pick my class skill proficiencies until after I've chosen my background, since the background proficiencies are fixed. I find the back-and-forth a little tiresome, but I don't know how you'd fix it.
I agree with the above sentiment. Thats the biggest issue I have with character creation, because unless the doubling of proficiency from backgrounds allows expertise, it's very cumbersome

Tucker, the reason those six races are the only ones that are on the weight and height tables is because they're the only ones with such information between both the Basic Rules and SRD, which are the only documents being used during the beta. On release this summer, I think all currently available information from official Wizards D&D books, will be made available. The weight and height table from SRD and BR is on page 33 of the BR PDF.
So I noticed that the holy symbol isn't available in manage equipment. Is there any way to fix that?
I noticed that; I entered it under "personal possessions," but it really should be on the list somewhere, especially because it's got its own listing in the equipment list.

Amulet, emblem, etc. I agree that it should turn up all of those when you search "holy symbol", though.

Is it there under the specific names of the holy symbols? Holy symbol is technically setup as a category name for the items in the SRD so if they are using any sort of automated process to put the data into the tool then it's possible it would have dropped holy symbol in place for the more specific names.

Major equipment/ spells management revamp is incoming folks. Thanks for the feedback!
Character builder is SUCH an awesome tool! I literally have created several characters just because it's fun to do so.
One piece of feedback: When picking an otherworldly patron for my tiefling warlock, I only had one option: The Fiend. Please fix so we can pick from all three (or more).
For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD, D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.
Since mods and such are here, Goliath has a place in the height/weight table in Volos, what will be done for the other EE player races once release comes?

Oh, it's not just mods that are here!
We will follow WotC's direction with the other races - if we get the information we will provide it.
For ability scores, I don’t really like the menus to select your score for that ability. It would be nicer (I think) to show the available scores as dice-like boxes and allow the user to drag the score number die into the ability box. That style would also allow for a clear visual indication of the score generation method (array, roll, etc) with the resulting values to one side and the abilities in another area.
I realize mobile drag and drop is not simple, but something like this demo would be great...
I noticed that when Creating a Variant human that the Ability scores you choose to get the bonus (in my case I chose Charisma and Dexterity) doesn't display the bonuses in the "Total Score" field. It only shows when you view the stats upon viewing the character after creation.
There is no support for custom backgrounds i.e. backgrounds with custom proficiencies in skills, languages, tools etc.
There is also no option to add new proficiencies learnt during down time.
Big issue... one that I am afraid they may not fix because if you can just homebrew your way around not buying content then who's going to buy content...
just a fear... I know nothing...
You can already customise ability scores which kind of lets you homebrew your own races. This seems more or less along similar lines. Except that it's useful for things that are actually written into the rules like downtime training.
In any case i'm sure there's a way they could add it as a paid only feature or something if they were worried. Either way It's definitely something that would add a lot of value to me as a player. The more customisable they make it the more useful it is to me which means the more likely i am to pay for it.
If I can't customise it the way i want then it's not useful to me which means i'll just stick to my existing method of maintaining character sheets.
I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I haven't been able to use the character builder at all yet -when I attempt to make a character with the standard method- my options (drop down bars) just cycle indefinitely. When I attempt to create a character using the quick build method, all I receive are error 404 messages. Is there anyone else having the same difficulties? Do I need to be using a specific type of browser? (I'm currently using Chrome).

Not much of a bio other than I've been a player and a GM for many, many years. I'm always looking for new players to join me at my table.
