"He has some fiendish-blood in him, although he's no fiend. Perhaps that's where his arm came from. If he's becoming more like the burgomaster, then indeed they must have a madhouse there," Valanthe states.
Then to Rictavio, "I am glad to see you again. Your stories bring me a bit of joy in this grey and gloomy land. My soul belongs to my Dark Maiden, but I would appreciate learning the skills of a bard. Useful for misdirection."

"Thank you, but I am not a true bard, and my singing voice is not worth hearing."

Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
"Well, your storytelling is above par. Where will you be off to next? Given your rant the other night, I'm guessing vengeance is on your mind. That is my path... my oath. 'If my foes wreak ruin on the world, it is because I failed to stop them. I must help those harmed by their misdeeds.' I can help you ... We can help you - Strahd should be destroyed."
After a beat ...
"Oh so did your friend enjoy that steak and apple?"
"Yes, we all wish for Strahd to be slain..." says Rictavio.
Then, replying to Valanthe's question, "Um... yes. He did in fact!"

Valanthe does not detect any lies in Rictavio's words.

Turning to Rictavio, she replies, "Are there any local religious figures? Perhaps we could ask for advice from such an individual..."
Then leaning into Rictavio whispers, "Although we've received some guidance from the local fortune teller - and it has already proved fruitful in our quest against Strahd."
Then sitting back up, "We heard word of some dragon temple or something - I don't remember right now." Then as a thought struck her, "Rictavio, I don't suppose you've seen snow covered gardens with scarecrows, have you?"

To Valanthe's first question, Rictavio answers, "In Vallaki, we have one priest at the west end of town. Look for the church of Saint Andral."
Upon mentioning a dragon temple, Rictavio says, "I've heard of Dragon Cults in the lands beyond Barovia, but there has never been a dragon cult here. Yet I recall the story of a silver dragon who took human form and lead an order of paladins against Strahd."
To her last question, Rictavio says, "Snow isn't very common here. But the lower parts of the mountains are covered in it. And it gets considerably colder in the village of Krezk, far to the west. That may be your best try, as no one makes gardens in the mountains (in fact, no civilized folk live up there at all)."

"So, should we make for Krezk tomorrow?" Emre says quietly to the others once they are all upstairs. "It must be a sign that Rictavio knew of the exact place to go searching."

Sylciss becomes invisible and moves the bottles and plates into a disorganized mess while nobody is looking. Chairs and condiments are placed haphazardly while the party and patrons sleep.
